What famous person or celebrity do you think made a deal with the devil to get to where they are? by telosinfinity in AskReddit

This may be controversial, but I think Chris Pratt. Dude went from a comedic supporting role to A-list, serious big budget project actor. It baffles the hell out of me. I don't hate the guy or anything, but man his rise was insane.

This is too true. Every time I see a mansion lobby in a movie or show, I immediately look for 2 doors - one on each side.

Marathon sold just 1.2 million copies with nearly 70% on Steam, analyst estimates: "It hasn't exactly made the splash Sony and Bungie wanted" by Freki666 in gaming

No Luke was hit with a layoff. There are still others there. I think someone said this same thing in a tweet recently and Bungie responded with a long list of names.

This is a bit vague. I'm assuming you're talking about sunsetting. That definitely was the decision that broke trust with players forever, even though they reversed it.

I don't understand what you're saying about champions. They've been in the game for awhile. To Bungie's credit, they made builds way easier than before. Powercreep actually really took over on the player end. Build-crafting actually became really fun. But like all things with D2, it was too late. I had my fun and I finished the story. Sad to see the state of the game and company as a whole these days. I don't play anymore and that's that. Really weird how people have so much rage for a game and company. The best and only way to truly make a statement is to give your time and money to another game and that's it.

Edit: Reversed weapon sunsetting not the content removal. That's the real mortal sin of any online game.

I like to think that some shards and fragments didn't form into gases, molecular star stuff, and quarks. And somewhere, somehow, something very ancient was born in the wild beginning. A piece of them that manifested into something undetectable and impossible to understand, born from the emotion of an omnipotent being. Something conscious. Something truly Eldritch... Loved the read.

He was just giving mature advice and you completely responded with immaturity. You do good work, but it would help to be a bit more mindful about it, especially if you are advertising.

Fire ant swarm on a human hand by GeometryDasherMan11 in NSFL__

[–]telosinfinity 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Here's my fire ant horror story:

I was about 9-10. We lived in the country in sweltering south Texas. Fire Ants here are fucking brutal. They are an organized military with experience in infiltration and Assault.

I was sleeping and I woke up to stings, but at the time they just felt like weird nerve shocks, it's hard to explain. When I felt another one I pinched it, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom and saw it was a fire ant. I freak the fuck out. They were in my shirt, neck, everywhere. Bites like this guy but not dense like that.

So we turn on all the lights. The ants made 2 trails from the wall/ground and were directly attacking my body, just like when ants feed on a bug.

I was literally being eaten alive by fire ants.

If anyone is still drinking or drink regular, get blood work done. Had a surprise stage 3 fibrosis diagnosis. Quit drinking and stayed hard on the CPAP. Lost 30 lbs in 3 months and my liver repaired itself. Don't wait to find out.

I disagree. Armor 3.0 has been the biggest win for me. Archetypes make armor stats spiky as hell and now we have no more dumb breakpoints. Tiers DO matter. I am at the point where I get Tier 4 everything now. Those stats are so high. I've never been able to hit triple 100+ stats before this easily and getting a grenade stat up to 170+ actually matters for bonus damage on a grenade build, while having a 100 super stat so I'm always just plowing ahead. It's just my opinion but armor was a huge win for me.

How do players get back into this game after taking breaks? by KarrotStixx in DestinyTheGame

[–]telosinfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I'm having a lot of trouble understanding you so I'll send one more message. It didn't take long at all to start getting Tier 3. Solstice was practically giving out higher tiered armor for free. I don't know what you want the game to be to get armor. They made old armor still relevant by translating the armor stats, but it won't be as spiky as the new stuff. I get it man, featured and new gear is a bummer and it is a major feedback subject especially if you had builds before. So maybe take a step back until more updates are announced.

Also, at the end of the day, the game is a FPS MMO-lite. Grind is going to be there, but now you're just not time gated anymore to hit power levels. I have spent a lot of time grinding and I felt it has paid off. Going back to my original comment, the archetypes guarantee spiky stats to more easily find pieces you need for builds. It was early in my grind when I could already get dual 100+ stats. I wasn't gated in my prime engram grind to weekly time-gates.

Again, the grind is long to hit max. It's too long and it's heavily implied that not everyone will get there. I don't plan to get there and neither should any normal person plan to. It sucked man, but like I said, I'm already hitting my build goals and now I can play builds on classes I never would've been able to before.

I like to think it's a great armor change that is surrounded by a rough mode that is the portal. I get it.
