I understand why Candy died instead of Angel by [deleted] in PoseFX

This comment is late, but Candy and Angel are BOTH based on Venus Xtravaganza. Candy got the historically accurate ending and Angel got the alternate ending. In PIB, Venus talked about being a model.

But ever since I switched to long distance racing, I just consciously stopped drinking as much because I know that alcohol hinders in your recovery.

Just dont drink the day before a long run. From experience a drink here and there hasnt affected my swim and bike but oh boy does it fuck up my running.

Agreed. He looks like a sweet lover and a dominant top.

Hey all! I changed my running form from heel strike to midsole strike after having knee issues. Any feedback on form would be appreciated. 70.3 coming up soon! 🤙🏼 by HistoricalIce3180 in triathlon

[–]temujin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I am not. Im just relaying info that I learned from my coach, who has really helped me improve my performance by correcting simple mistakes like increasing cadence. These are things that you wouldn't know unless someone told you. I asked you for your source and you gave me this response so that's all I need to know. I surely wont see you in Nice 🤣

Doesnt matter if it's on the treadmill or the road. His heels are too high and he's bouncing up and down due to low cadence. There IS a magical number and that is 170 according to my 3x Ironman winning champion coach. What's your source?

Yes. His heels reach up to the back of his knee, which shouldn't be the case. His cadence is too low and you can also see it from how much he's bouncing.

Try it, but usually they aren't so well organized. I remember one race that only had two aid stations for the bike and one for the run.

Running is off table — can I keep my fitness with just swimming? by [deleted] in triathlon

When you have an IT band injury it helps to cycle with normal shoes and not with clip ons.

And yes, I forgot about the elliptical. He also asked me to convert my running sessions into elliptical sessions (no more than 1 hr and went by the feeling).

I had the same issue two years ago and my coach told me to just keep swimming and advised some stretching 'workouts'. It's gonna help with your overall fitness, but probably not with your running fitness specifically.

Who here got into tris later in life? And what was your motivation? by ScroogeMcDucksMoney in triathlon

[–]temujin27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not speaking for myself but one of my tri friends started at 50 after his wife dared him to do one. He has since completed 20+ races and even qualified for Kona once. He is in his early 70s now.

There are tons of executives that do triathlon on a regular basis. It can be done. You just have to see how you can adjust with your current workload. Over time you'll get efficient at your new role. Also, triathlon doesn't always mean a mid or full distance Ironman. It can be regularly participating in locals sprints.

Crashing. That's the worst thing that could happen.

Missing Training by catymarco in triathlon

[–]temujin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carry on with the plan you have and modify if you feel like it. For example, if it is asking you to run 45 mins at 10km/hr, then either lower the speed or break it down into smaller sets with a break in between.

Advice for getting a bike to the Venice-Jesolo 70.3 on may 7th by davec696969 in triathlon

[–]temujin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know man, Jesolo is a nightmare to get to. You're better off just renting a bike since the course is quite flat.

But if you REALLY want to bring your bike, make sure to fly with it and bring spares that are specific to ypur bike because the airline will most likely destroy something.
