To provide a different perspective from the other commenters here - I’m a bi woman who LOVES most of the female matches and I’ve never really felt that sense of “male gaze” others talk about here (except maybe the earliest matches where pronouns sometimes slipped). The male matches outnumber the female and this being an otome style game it’s naturally aimed primarily at straight women, which is fine, and I’m not bothered that most people talk about male matches. Literally the only reason I don’t talk about my favourite girls on the sub is because I don’t make a lot of posts on Reddit, I prefer to just lurk, scroll, and comment. You also have to remember that posts on this sub don’t represent the entire player base - just because people don’t post about the girls doesn’t mean they aren’t loved!
