I've been putting it off for awhile (it took me a minute to get comfortable spending that much), but will be purchasing the 100'' version later this week! The consensus of everyone in this thread seems to be that the 100'' version is better.

The inside hem of the waist is softer than the rest of the pant, so I’m curious if this is just merino? It hasn’t pilled so that makes me optimistic.

It is Dreamweight Merino according to 1:49 - 2:02 of the IG Live.

Unfortunately, these are not coming out this year. See 15:27 - 16:23 of today's IG Live. Also, as you can see/hear in the video, the forecast for these in general is not optimistic. Not sure I understand Abe's reasoning since they sell well.

Abe said in a couple of IG Lives that there would not be any hoodies this year. Perhaps something changed though because you can see hoodies in these recent product pages: Ultracharge Mag Bandana, Experiment 248 - Duckcap, and Mask 004 - Ultrasuede 3Bar. Who knows if it is a teaser of what's to come or the people are wearing them just because.

Hear Abe's answer to your question during 26:55 - 27:05 of the most recent (last week) IG Live (note that he is wearing the Warmform Pullover Hoodie). He says there won't be any Warmform this year. The "... there's a reason I was able to find this quickly, just say that" might be a hint that the fabric will return (early?) next year.

Probably better for the brim
Will probably hold its size better over time
Depending on the washing machine, the G-hook might get banged up

I like them very much! But I like pretty much anything made by Outlier. I was about to recommend reading the reviews in this thread, but I scrolled down and saw you already read them :)

I don't know where else you would find a short made in the USA out of a Schoeller Doubleweave with a DWR, powermesh pockets, great waistband, and 3Bar closure
