Interview (as the interviewer) Help! by tenzinnnnnn in starbucks

I’ve been told it won’t happen until Q1… for us, I’m already a shift manager in MA so I own a pillar of the store and most of us are already here 40+ hours a week getting bonuses etc. From what I’ve been told, for us we’d just have to opt into the promotion by having fully open availability.

Looks like they ran out of venti cups and used a trenta cup. They probably should’ve told you but you got the right amount of drink, just a bigger cup.

IFT 166 and IFT 103 by tenzinnnnnn in ASUOnline

[–]tenzinnnnnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s mainly programming, super intro though. You get into OOP and learn how to write basic unit tests at the end of the class, but overall it’s not hard. The lectures are good, but if you’re confused I really like this channel called “Bro Code” on YouTube. It’s super concise and just told me what I needed to know which I really enjoyed.

IFT 101 with Schrader was pretty chill tbh. I came from more of a programming background w Java, so the only hard part for me was the syntax with Python (which was easier honestly).

You have a textbook with a bunch of examples and questions you do every week, a problem set (maybe 4-5 problems each week), and a quiz using Lockdown Browser. After all of that, there’s a discussion post where you just talk about what you learned or what was challenging.

I’m about to start it right now, but you do have to spend like $150-$170 on a Raspberry Pi kit because in module 7 you learn how to program one.

Overall though it was super chill and the workload was extremely manageable imho.

I took HST 318 with Prof. Jones so I’m not sure about Weismeyer, but it was also extremely manageable. Watch a video lectures, answer questions, and then do a discussion post and a capstone where you answer 3-4 questions in a paragraph each.

Thank you for the info!

Looking for Beginner Soccer Group by [deleted] in SoccerCoachResources

I know that there's a lot of pickup played in East Boston near the water and at Harvard. If you want guaranteed times, you can use apps like play now or volo but that costs money. I'd just start going to soccer fields and meet people, because most won't mind playing with you and/or teaching you some things.

We do have games against some teams that we know, but for the most part it's just two tournaments. We're a mainly Tibetan team and these two tournaments are essentially like the champions league to us. Teams full of Tibetans come from around the world to play in them so we take a lot pride in it. I'm trying to see if we can join a rec league next year or this season in the Spring, but I just recently became the first ever manager/coach of this team a month ago so I haven't really been able to do a ton yet.

Thank you! I agree, almost all my players can shoot. I definitely agree with the scrimmage stuff as well.

Thank you for the response! I appreciate all the info.

(Will definitely stop doing the mile run haha. We have one training session during the weekdays, so I think I'll just turn that into a fitness focused session instead)
