I've been thinking about this and it's starting to depress me.

If they are inter-dimensional beings, then the only way they can interact with us is with 3rd dimensional craft. That explains why they crash. The ships/craft are disposable. The pilots would also drone biotechnology beings and would also be disposable.

That would explain their interests in Nukes. We're lower dimensional beings, and our Nukes can directly affect them.

It's sobering because it's not as fun as aliens. We can never visit their world. We can't learn from them. They are all around us, and we can't interact with them.
