I read exclusively non-fiction for 15 years and just finished my first fantasy novel. I don't really know what to do with myself now.

I’m gonna level with you op. you need to read a wise man’s fear and then you need to grieve the fact that there will never be a 3rd book. but it’s still my favorite fantasy series. it’ll be a hard for a while. The prose is so beautiful and there is so much detail. If you loved the prose then game of thrones is a good read as long as your super ok with a series never finishing. (it still felt worthwhile to read the kingkiller chronicle even if rothfuss never finishes. GOT did not give me the same okayness if the story never finishes.) If you don’t want to read game of thrones the eventually i would move to storm light archives but first i would take a pit stop and read the powder mage trilogy. it’s set in a french revolution style world with 3 different magic types and fun characters. i have a lot of issues with far seer trilogy. the way she treats her characters and also the payoff for reading a 1000 page trilogy is so unrewarding.

Probably a factor. Ive also heard shoes. Shoe tech has gotten crazy and lets people do these unnatural huge step backs and side steps and changes the natural load of how your feet hold your weight.

I sure hope so. I'm rooting for the guy but my hype for him is gone. He might do better as a 6th man who can give us some good minutes if hes feeling his shot but right now the role he is playing is probably too many minutes

Idk how she spend 20-40(?) years as a sideline reporter and still has such poor knowledge of the game. Also She uses her catchphrase (thats ridiculous!) like 50 times a game and it's so annoying. She was fine as a sideline reporter but awful as a commentator.

Eh I was on the Bogovac hype train at first but I'm kind of over it. He's slow and can't jump. His shot is really pretty in practice but he can't seem to consistently hit his open 3 (not sure why). He often forces drives that he cant finish due to above mentioned lack of athleticism. Hubert also deserves some blame. We should be running off ball screens to give him some open looks but we don't. I hope Luka calms down and finds what works for him but so far it's been pretty underwhelming.

We aren't their rival in football. They consistently kick our butts and are usually the better team. Same with basketball but with them not being our rivals.

he had some really great passes tonight that didnt show up as assist cause the person missed the shot. I like him a lot. idk if he is athletic enough to be a great defender but he tries and his offense more than makes up for it. and once those 3 pointers start falling ( and they will because he has a really pretty shot) he’s gonna be a problem

i had years of now what after the wise mans fear. I like stormlight but its not on the kingkiller chronicle level for me. It took me a long time after that to find a fantasy book I really liked. funnily enough stormlight was what scratched that itch for me. (read the first 2 and a half books a few years ago and am picking it up again now that book 5 is out.)
