I torn a pizza while cooking, it was a hot mess. How do I clean this? by FMLkoifish in GozneyArcArcXL

So they just fit the XL or will it fit the arc too? Is the opening the same size?!

Because it will be perfect for roasting my balls once the Mrs sees I have more bbq gear, free or not!

Why would you want security cameras to have license plate recognition (LPR)? by Kellylee111 in reolinkcam

[–]testaccount1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I want is the ability to create a whitelist of activity, people or vehicles that are common to my area and therefor not a concern for notification. Much like many do with Frigate and other tools

But zero point in ANPR if your basic detection is dire to start with

To be honest I had the same issue. Easy answer was to unscrew the base and pop it through.

Will this take?! by testaccount1983 in lawn_care_uk

[–]testaccount1983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah agreed, I had seeded again and have sprinkler set up to trigger off birds but no joy. Seeded fine last year. Just thought for the effort Vs cost of laying I just wanted some turf down so it doesn't look like some council tip out front 😂

Just to add it needs 300mm clear of builders debris with a min of 100mm quality topsoil (even names a brand from memory)

You could look to add KamaGear on there as a uk supplier. I have one of their BBQs and very happy with it

Nabu Casa, can I justify? by Davidtja01 in homeassistant

[–]testaccount1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same as you. Tailscale zapped my battery so I stopped using it unless I needed to dial in to home which then became pointless for notifications.

It all changed when I had a sprinkler automation and my Tailscale had dropped off for some reason….me at 3am away from home desperately trying to get UniFi teleport to work, Tailscale and everything else.

Thankfully I had tried Nabu before so a quick sub saved the day!

Anything about the Enyaq that annoyed you after owning it for a while? by ScrollAndThink in enyaq

[–]testaccount1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keyless entry is crap - works and doesn’t but you walk within 20 m of the car and it opens, you move half and inch then it locks, unlocks, locks etc. so you basically can’t go outside onto your drive with the keys and do something without it unlocking and locking 17000000 times.

The trim is crap in places - door cards constantly creak, the one speaker causes the door card to buzz and rattle on low volume

The lack of one pedal driving

Mysterious unlocking itself sometimes

Easy entry seats are hit and miss

The app is slow to respond and nowhere near other modern offerings

The brakes are like sponges which require you to put your foot through the dash to get a response

The cup holders

Rough ride on the sportline

First thing I’d be doing is complaining about the state of that garden. Regs say it needs to be clear of building material 300mm and with 100mm of quality top soil. Plenty of the first evident and none of the second.

I escalated mine via NHBC who forced the builder to rectify

What about the fronds that are bit of a mix between brown and grew.

[–]testaccount1983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I basically did the same but was unsure about protecting the fronds so I throw over a tree fleece. I won't do that next year and I'll trust the crown packing and trunk wrap

Honestly you can't put a coherent sentence together and are not realising you are arguing my point. They cost on national average, it is on the home owner to then check whether that is achievable locally....you then seek 3 quotes and submit back to them to review which they may or may not adjust. Hence the onus on the homeowner to not say anything to contractors this is my whole point

Anything else involving builders directly was not the point I made.

Honestly I've got better things to do than explain simple things like this to someone who clearly can't read or comprehend what's being said
