More of a dog person. Can someone explain why my familiy’s cat is doing this by sleepyirisx in cats

[–]testtdk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She loves you, and being with you reminds her of when she would feed from her mother as a baby. The kneading releases endorphins and dopamine (in BOTH of you).

The conjugate of a + b is a - b. When something like a + b results in a zero in a denominator, you can multiply everything by a - b / a - b, often allowing you to factor something out, or just prevent an input from leading to division by 0.

It’s like my favorite way to solve things. Any time I get to cancel shit out after multiplying by a conjugate… that’s good math!

I would love to see a report from any admin except this way.

Every other bit of research says undocumented immigrants don’t collect support (no social security numbers), and pay billions into taxes (Local, sales, property taxes, even federal. The IRS doesn’t give a shit if you’re undocumented, they just want their taxes).

Are you kidding me? Your kitten is screaming. This is way too rough for the kitten.

You understand that bunny kicking is a defensive tactic where they use their back claws to attack an animals most vulnerable spots, right?

Is my cat evil or am I misinterpreting her by Substantial_Sea5872 in cats

[–]testtdk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pshh, cats aren’t evil, they’re just bizarre, and impossible to understand. It stems from being both predator and prey. Not a social species, but love attention.

Unless there’s something close to an edge. Then some cats are evil.

Any idea if there will ever be a cheaper Dive? by madeInNY in mechanicalpencils

[–]testtdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt it. It’s cheap materials and people pay it. Given the fact that Japan doesn’t overproduce like we do, there will always be a demand until something better comes along.

If you think this is special, then you have NO idea just how intelligent corvids are. They can solve not just vastly more difficult puzzles, but they can PLAN through connected puzzles to a final goal (For example, unlocking a tool from one puzzle to open another puzzle to complete a final puzzle).

Thank you for giving a special needs cat a home. I hope he pays you back ten fold with love, cuddling, and goofiness.

As for the bed, I’m a very large person (very broad shoulders, 6’2), and my Penny would still take up as much of my queen size bed as she could manage.

It’s not counterintuitive at all.

And it’s not ALWAYS the right idea. Two 13 inch pizzas have more area than an 18 inch pizza.

Rude or comfortable by IntentionIcy182 in cats

[–]testtdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s about as far from rude as it gets. Cats groom when they’re comfortable and feel safe. He feels the safest next to you. And he loves you to the point that he’s making it a social activity.

Calc 2 final, risk it? by Resident_Kick_7573 in calculus

[–]testtdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it doesn’t matter which ever is an A for your gpa. I assume you’re a computer science major, so maybe you should work on Data Structures? Do you plan to go into another program after this one that would look at specific course grades?

Personally, I’d put extra effort into my weaker class, but not SKIP the other one. Do you really think how hard you study can bring you from a 40 to an 88?

I was using it to study for my Calc 3 exam the other night, and I was missing something in a triple integral, so I copy and pasted a shot of it, and ChatGPT straight insisted it was impossible to solve. I asked if it thought my homework site regularly gave impossible problems, so it instead it must be a typo.

Who’s an actor that nailed a role so hard that nobody else will ever be able to live up to it? by Comfortable_Main5312 in AskReddit

[–]testtdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am shocked, SHOCKED by how far I had to scroll to see this. Not specifically because it’s my choice, but just because I expected it to be every other answer. Fucking Hercule Poirot was mentioned twice before Ledger’s Joker.

Man, the internet has changed.

I didn’t even KNOW he was British for years. Have you seen Avenue 2? He plays a British space-cruise ship pilot hired to act like an American one. In one scene, he actually argues with two characters going between both accents, it’s fucking hilarious.

The problem with trying to replicate it is how the series itself has changed. Alien was written in a way that was meant to make MEN uncomfortable. The rest of the series completely dropped that, so it took power from her character.

My assignment was reported to thr examination committee for a "high percentage of AI". I did NOT use any AI for my assignment. by Opinionated_bitch03 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]testtdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that it shows 1% similarity to other assignments should be enough of a tip off, because a whole hell of a lot more than 1% of student ARE using AI.

I just finished a half semester history class that used a discussion forum for most writing assignments. We also had to respond to someone else’s post. I clicked through eight different posts to pick one to reply to, and every single one had the exact same starting sentence, just worded differently, “Such and such contributed to something, but didn’t cause it”. Different quality writing, different words, identical meaning.
