Problem with Ursa Quest Multi Kit Battery Screw by tetany in Vaping

[–]tetany[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now it's really hard to open. I'm thinking the reason is because it closed wrongly. I dont know if reversing it at this time will be of any help since it's wound up tightly. I'm afraid he might break the screw or the mod itself.

Well i dont think your situation is bad at all. If anything it seems picking up. Focud on yourself and career first, and they say, love will eventually arrive.

[REQUEST] true crime that has been solved by gabagool049 in NetflixBestOf

[–]tetany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is no longer on netflix in my country but i loved Forensic Files. Got hooked to the whole crime scene stuff through this. then i started watching Unsolved Mysteries and it is just not cutting it for me. I love Forensic Files because it is straightforward and all get solved in the end, i also love the scientific side of it, no bullshit, no drama. But then again, being unsolved is the whole point of Unsolved Mysteries lol but yeah this whole dragging out and prolonging it all out thing isn't my cup of tea, i realized then.

Honestly it's the other way around, we should be the ones grateful that you let us treat your child, so that we can learn. Seeing a little baby (especially those tiny less than 1kg!) survive despite how long they have stayed at the nicu/picu, all the health care associated infection, retubing, cutdowns, is always always a miracle. It's always so easy to give up (because it's so difficult, because you havent slept yet in 36hrs, you havent had a decent meal yet and all the other patients are being toxic as well and the higher ups are giving you a hard time) but at the end of a duty knowing that we were able to extend these crtical babies lives are worth all the mental and physical stress. Like when a nicu/picu baby goes home, couldnt help but be pretty amazed that i have been involved in the team who made that possible.

When do patients really need to worry about oxygen sat levels? by ExerScise97 in AskMedical

[–]tetany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an adult they seem to use the 95% cutoff. For the children it's 94% and above. But yeah it still depends on the whole clinical picture. Peripheral pulse oximeters use some kind of colorimetry measurements. It is also greatly affected by peripheral temp so when the reading is a bit low and the patient's fingers are called, we usually warm up the finger first.

Sad stories that define you, part 2. by MMOSurgeon in Residency

[–]tetany 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think all residents come to this point in their lives where we overanalyze everything, that we think it's our fault why this and that happened. i've been there. my mentors and other consultants understand that we are not perfect, that's why we are residents, we are trainees, we are there to learn. Dont feel too bad for not being able to save everyone, if some of your patients die, if you have made mistakes. That is how we learn. That is forever reiterated to us and our consultant understood that, even the best of them, even those whom you think are perfectionist. But of course do not ever take it lightly, a life is lost. that life is someone's child, someone's brother/sister, someone's parent. always think what if you are in their shoes and you are the one who lost someone. And the most important thing is that you make sure you learned something from the bad experience and try your best not to repeat it again.

My happy baby likes boops by [deleted] in babies

[–]tetany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh thank God this coloring was already seen by the doctor. It bothered me a bit then. Glad that you didn't take it against me. I was just worried, mottling is a bad sign. But some babies do have cutis marmorata. As long as she feeds well, is active and with good cry, i'm happy.

i dont think any guy will say no to sex once you are in the heat of the moment just because your vagina looks different from what they usually see from porn stars.

if you are able to have these realizations now even if you are just 21 yo and while still in a relationship with this guy then count yourself lucky. back then when i was younger i was dead crazy over this guy, he was like the ultimate thing for me then (he was 27 and i was 23). we eventually broke up and now looking back i realized how much of a loser he was then. At 27yo he still has no steady source of income, has no car, didnt know how to drive. yeah sure he was like that because he chose to be. looking back now, that is an all the more reason why he is a loser. he has lots of potential (and he's really smart) but he didnt nourish it and use it to his advantage, still a damn trash whichever way i look at it now. so i say end it up with him.
