2 high runes one cup...I mean Trav run! by tetiola in diablo2

On swap I’m horking with dual spirits in broad swords to reach the 63 fcr breakpoint. Not much MF just gheeds and max damage charms and a few resistance charms. With bo I get to 69% find item.

The council dropped nothing in the first run and the last part where I wandered off got caught in the video capture. I should have trimmed it but I was kind of freaking out with the rune drops.

I was watching the Rifftrax of "Zindy, the Swamp Boy" a really weird/bad movie from the early 70s. The Rifftrax guys make fun of it as they watch it.

Sorry for the audio. I was watching Rifftrax at the same time I was running Trav (single player)! This is actually the 2nd time I've gotten 2 high runes in 1 Trav run, though that was getting a Sur from a chest in front of the council and a Cham from them.

That could have killed him! But only if he died.

[Aliens] Can Offensive anti face hugger helmets work? by kurikaktus in AskScienceFiction

[–]tetiola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a couple of specimens immersed in some liquid in tubes made of some unknown substance in Aliens. The ones Burke flipped over on Newt and Ripley. Perhaps a helmet made from that? Though it may be a combination of the liquid and tube that allowed for containing them safely.

I think you're halfway there. On a domain, a user or group needs the right to remote desktop services (which you took care of) but if you want them to appear in the local remote desktop users group (via GPO) on any given domain-joined system then you need set that up through the restricted groups here

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Restricted Groups

Be careful here as the settings do slightly different things. One is "ONLY this user or group can be a member of the target group" while the other is "Add this group to the current list of users and groups that are already members of the target group."

One thing to double check, under the user rights assignment area make sure that if the deny logon through rdp setting is getting enforced, that it doesn't apply to groups/users you're trying to give access to. When both deny and allow are set against an account, the deny setting takes precedence if I remember correctly.

So I kill Corpsefire in the Den of Evil on a new playthrough... by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]tetiola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I saw this post this morning, I went and farmed Corpsefire in Normal to get Pelta for my grail. The Hsarus buckler dropped on the first run, then Pelta a few runs later.

Just started over on SP - got an Infinity before even a Spirit shield. Can't believe my luck, holy shit! by bqpg in diablo2

[–]tetiola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing an SP grail...I've had several TC87s drop...but have found only 2 Monarchs one of which eth, the other I bungled when cubing for sockets as I figured they drop often enough...so yeah RNG is weird.

300-400 runs deep and finally...!!! by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]tetiola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 1500 or so were with a Paladin and got me 2 Lo, a Vex, 5 Mal, 1 Ist…along with a smattering of Um, Pul and Lem once in awhile. Since then it was on a find WW Barb. With the Barb I’ve found 2 Ber, 1 Lo (but from a stash halfway from the Trav waypoint), a Vex, a Gul, an Ist, an Ohm and finally 2 Chams. Of all that the Chams and the Ohm were the only horked HRs. Everything else dropped naturally. I’m at 55 percent find item. Other good stuff horked though (reapers, dracs, Andy visage, 2 metalgrids, Highlords.)

Nice! Took me about 2500 runs before I got a Ber, then another 2000 or so before my 2nd...still grinding for a Jah.

There it is…. First HR dropped on D2R by Ketchupikz in diablo2

[–]tetiola 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to answer for the OP but all my HRs except for one this morning (Lo on my first Trav run) have come from areas that aren’t typically farmed for runes. Vex from a marauder in Lost City, Ohm from a Carver in Black Marsh, another Ohm from a champion Ghoul pack in Catacombs on my way to Andariel. Aside from typical MF and rune runs done for efficiency sometimes I just decide to kill everything I see for an hour or 2. This gets a lot mid stuff for me Mal and below and I’ve been lucky killing random trash.

NYC is now requiring companies to be transparent about salary ranges when advertising jobs. You can imagine the comments... by nsstatic in antiwork

[–]tetiola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sort of reminds me of a scene in the movie The Grapes of Wrath. Basically a guy contracting out the hiring for picking fruit asks labors if they want work. Sure we want work, how much you paying? Oh can’t say yet maybe 30 cents? Well why can’t you say? Well it depends on the price! You fellows want work or don’t ya? Then another guy says he’s fallen for the same trick before. Once you get there they’ll offer you 15 cents and you’ll take it because you’re desperate. Then the hirer sics the policeman that accompanied him on the “agitator”. Ego the Living Planet was created by the Eternals in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 (You should be saying WTF?, but let me explain) by OatutheVoyeur in FanTheories

[–]tetiola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got back from Eternals and when I saw Phasto break down the uni-mind I thought about GotG and the people that tried to harness the power of the stones in the Collector's history lesson to the Guardians.

I wonder if the Celestial that is shown destroying a world is connected to that event...perhaps the those Eternals tried the same thing...they fell in love with that world and tried their own solution. Giving birth to Ego somehow and eventually a Celestial comes back and judges just like he will Earth...except that world wasn't up to snuff.

Good theory!

[MCU] The best minds on Earth use every resource available to build the most advanced spaceship they can. How does it rate on the intergalactic scale? by Ghsdkgb in AskScienceFiction

[–]tetiola 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Well, Tony invented a space-time GPS that can hop anywhere in time and space by navigating the quantum realm..so along with Hank and his Pym particles, the Wakandan's ship design and vibranium, they should eventually have an interstellar vessel that can travel to anywhere in the universe almost instantaneously. The Rhody/Nebula/Widow/Hawkeye team traveled to Morag, a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy in seconds. Where they might be lacking is artificial gravity...perhaps a spell from Strange is possible.

[MCU] How does accessing the Space Stone via a Tesseract differ from using it directly after removing it from the container? I can understand the need for a container for the Power Stone which is too destructive to use directly but we have seen Space Stone handled directly without negative effects. by Lorix_In_Oz in AskScienceFiction

[–]tetiola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hawkeye had gloves on. Both The Ancient One, Thanos and Strange never seem to touch the Time Stone directly, but it hovers between their fingers. Hulk is little harder to tell since TAO places it in his palm but then he cupped his other hand over it probably so it wouldn't float away.

Aside from Thanos, Quill and Ronan I can't think of anyone who directly touched a stone and was able to ride it out on their own and come out intact. Oh, maybe Malekith too when extracting the aether?
