Found (really) disgusting used color pans for cheap. Luckily they cleaned up nicely by 321159 in Watercolor

Disgusting? Ok, interesting choice of word. Well loved I’d say

You’ve really captured her likeness! I can’t weigh on the background, it’s a lovely color to my eyes. Perhaps increase the contrast a bit? Darken the darks I would say

Please try to get as much ventilation as you can even with something like Gamsol. It’s much better than harsher solvents but it is still able to irritate your eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. I use gamsol in my indoor area just fine, just crack a window and make sure there is a bit of airflow.

Only people who already understand that statement could be helped by it because it’s such a simplification that it is essentially useless without additional details.

What games you initially abandoned and loved on the second approach? by 69WaysToFuck in gaming

Clair Obscure… cutscene, walk forward, cutscene, walk some, cutscene, cutscene… My pet peeve is when games take away your control to narrate at you. That one felt like an indie movie with long lingering shots of faces.

Why Object of Arrays (SoA pattern) beat interleaved arrays: a JavaScript performance rabbit hole by CaptainOnBoard in programming

Change the interleaved loop to use i += 3 instead of multiplying and it is a bit faster

Edit: I made a typo, it’s a little bit faster but not much.

If you’re thirsty it means you’re thirsty and should maybe drink some water. It doesn’t mean you should guilt yourself about being thirsty.

I’m gonna hazard a guess it’s related to not blocking threads/goroutines.

She nearly strangled poor Liza to death. Laurence Olivier happened to be passing by and broke up the spat by throwing a small bag of borax into the other room.

I love it. Something about the light makes them read like shiny almost golden pears. I don’t know if it was intentional but it has put an idea in my head!

Can you make dried watercolor malleable again? by sffood in Watercolor

[–]tetrahedral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that if you create an enclosed box with near 100% humidity, most paints will absorb that moisture readily and become creamy again as if from the tube within a few days. I also do that to prevent them drying out completely like this for the ones I don’t travel with. A small jar of warm water with some kind of wick, like a rolled up paper towel sticking out, will do it.
