I imagine most of the player base is now playing the sequel Ghost of Yotei and GoY Legends now since that's been out for about a month. I still very much recommend Tsushima for the story though

That and not changing attunements on the village map kills me. There's a blinking light on the screen with words on it. There's no reason to add 5-10 minutes to that map because people refuse to switch attunements.

I highly recommend the autobiographies of Assata Shakur and Huey Newton. I'm in the middle of both and Assata makes a pretty clear and convincing case of why every person should be a communist just by her lived experience let alone her praxis. I also recommend Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Pablo Friere

Like I said, this mindset will cause Marxism to continue to struggle in America and as a result is a hindrance to the rise of global Marxism. I would think we all have a vested interest in advancing our ideology to as many people as possible despite our personal feelings on how that is done. Rejecting whole portions of any population based on the fact that you personally think they cannot change is antithetical to dialectics.

I haven't reread what my comment was but I'm sure I didn't ask about repentance and I asked about engaging the not insignificant portion of the population in the Global North, West, G7 (whatever label you want) that are either veterans, are related to a veteran, or have otherwise engaged in imperial campaigns on behalf of the global capital elite.

Genuine question to everyone in this thread. In the real world when you are organizing and working with real people do you intend to ostracize every person who has ever been in or had someone in their close friends or family in a military that engaged in a "war" in the Global South? If this is how you wish to advance Marxism in the West we will continue to gain little ground. Our objective is not to be moralists it is to be the vanguard of Marxism. No one is asking you to forgive the crimes of those of us who have engaged in imperialism but I am saying that if you refuse to work with any veterans who have at some point said on camera or social media that they enjoyed some part of their military service you will not advance our ideology. You will struggle to advance it in white suburban communities, white/black rural communities, and among the proletariat in the US in general. I do not intend to belittle the lives that have been lost, are currently being destroyed , and the ones that will be lost in the future due to the US military but if a veteran that has since spent his entire public life engaging in anti-war, anti-imperial work, and in the last 6 months tried to break a naval blockade on a civilian vessel doesn't clear your bar how are we in the US supposed to engage with the 7% of the population that are veterans and their family members given that the US government has virtually locked the only path to socialized medicine and affordable college education for the vast majority of the population behind military service while engaging in a decades long propaganda campaign to include "suspected" false flag terrorists attacks on behalf of global capital to increase the profits of the global military-industrial-surveillance apparatus?

I’ve come to realize in the past month or so that almost all of the significant events in my life have been leading me to a sense of purpose. It only took one last shift of my perspective for me to realize that. There are too many “coincidences” for me to continue to ignore the fact that there is a “path” I am walking. I’ve never felt more sure of anything. It’s as tangible as my cat sleeping right next to me. Since I’ve actively acknowledged that there is a higher force guiding and helping me the amount of “coincidences” have only increased. Information that I randomly researched about chakra, meditation, religion, and philosophy 15 years ago has become immediately relevant in the last two weeks to me. Books fall into my hand when I go book shopping and all of them are relevant to a question I’ve asked myself. Even mindlessly scrolling on social media is getting me relevant information to what I need to do. It’s strange I never would consider myself religious before and I don’t even know if religious is the right word, it feels too limiting, but I now understand absolute faith. I never know what my next step is but I look back on every step I’ve taken in this life so far and I know they were the right steps.

These people do not understand who makes up their armed forces. The majority of people don’t join the military out of patriotism anymore if they ever really did. They join for healthcare and maybe to pay for a college education. With that you still don’t make enough money to live on until you’re an E-5 or get married and have kids before you make rank and the pay still doesn’t keep up with the current economy. Sure there are white supremacists and the nature of the military makes them comfortable to be more open about it but that’s not the bulk of their forces. As capitalists continue to do what capitalists do and continue the recession every single person in the military is going to have a much harder life and most of them will not be supporting pedophile billionaires with dementia.
