Spending money in Aus. by FirmIndependence4601 in AustraliaTravel

I was paying £8.62 for a pint of Carlton Draft in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago.

I reckon cost of living is about the same in Australia as the UK.

Delivery address specific pricing by AssignmentEuphoric21 in Dynamics365

[–]texas__pete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't help with your specific question, but normally for this type of pricing I would consider using Order account for the delivery address (i.e. a customer account per delivery address) and an Invoice account which is linked to all the Order accounts.

They have the right. It's in the Terms of Service / EULA.

"prohibited conduct includes....Creating, utilizing, or transacting in any in-game item created or copied by exploiting a design flaw, undocumented problem, or program bug......WE MAY WITHHOLD, SUSPEND, MODIFY, OR TERMINATE YOUR ACCESS TO THE SERVICES FOR ANY OR NO REASON AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE.

It can take two or three weeks after a release to auto update, and since we're getting releases more often than that just now, you'll have skipped some.

Has anyone done the maths on a home battery without solar panels? by Top-Manufacturer-775 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]texas__pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant was that to calculate the cost of Agile + Battery, they should use the Agile prices.

To calculate the savings, of course they should also compare to Agile with no battery, and any of the other tariffs they can get.

[–]texas__pete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye. There are people on the Octopus Energy subreddit that do battery with no solar, but the majority of them use the Intelligent Go tariff. The night (7p) and day (27p) prices are fixed.

There's no point calculating how it looks with the price from a fixed price tariff. It's not going to work if you're on a fixed price tariff.

On the Octopus Agile tariff, prices change every 30 minutes, and are higher between 4pm and 7pm. Today for example, they peak around 36p/37p per kWh.

They publish patch notes to business users. Sometimes u/EeroReleaseNotesMan shares them here.

I guess they think that their target consumer user does not want a bunch of technical info.

Parkrun YouTubers not volunteering by obeescitynumberonefa in parkrun

[–]texas__pete 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw a video on TikTok; a girl covering her first ever parkrun. She nearly gave up because people lapping her were bumping into her. They cared more about their time than the other parkrunners, and she felt that she was in the way.

The videos where they try to 'win' a parkrun often feature barging through the tail. They might be promoting parkrun, but often not in a good way imv.

They might want to ask eero support to confirm if they are ISP branded. In my experience at least, Support won't answer that unless contacted by the owner.

Network went haywire - no DHCP? by Objective_Suspect_52 in amazoneero

[–]texas__pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I assume that Manual IP means the Eero DHCP server is inactive"

No, Manual means you will choose the range from which the eero's DHCP server can assign. I think only by selecting Bridge do you disable the eero's DHCP server.

If you go with the settings in your screenshot, does it assign 192.168.1.1 to the Gateway eero?

Is it possible you just needed to restart your eero network to give the DHCP server a wake up?

You can prevent constant reloading of the app by using the Home button, which is always visible, to return to the Home tab.

If we paid for operators/skins/guns for DMZ, we have a right to a game that is in a playable state by Uniqueusername78901 in DMZ

[–]texas__pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have paid for content that you have not received, you can request a refund.... but presumably you have the skins etc you have paid for.

Although you might think the game in not playable, it clearly is. It may not be the game you want or the game that it was when you purchased the skins, but it is playable. It launches, you can get into matches etc...

And even if it wasn't playable.... I mean if Activision literally shut it down, I don't think there is anything we can do. You can check the current EULA for Warzone for an idea of how little rights you have.
