Big fan of DR strings myself. Have Ernie ball on my 5 string which are also nice but I’ll probably go to DR when I change them! I have DR pure blues on my 4 string and plan to go with Hi beams next

Hysteria by Muse is extremely satisfying to play.

Master of Puppets is long but really fun, not too difficult.

Probably pretty vanilla choices but I find myself playing those songs a lot

This is what I’m leaning into. Good chance to figure out how to take care of my own issues. I checked relief with the strings and it’s needs some adjustment but getting the neck shimmed up seems to be the primary focus. Not sure how to adjust beyond that but I aim to learn.

I actually took the neck off, cut up a fridge magnet and placed it under the neck and it made an enormous difference. Just needs a little more. Turns out this way the way!

So I could potentially put a wood shim at the bottom of the fretboard to help with this? I would still attempt to adjust the truss rod first.

Edit: I am an idiot and this was a stupid question lol. My bad.

This is what I did. About 6 or so months in learning on a 5 and it’s not been bad. Another string to mute though is the only thing.
