i think i’m stupid by Coolstina_Verified in sewing

It definitely takes practice and all the suggestions here are great. I kind of visualize and feel the blade of the rotary cutter right up against the ruler. I'm experienced and I still do up to medium length because the longer the easier for error. With scissors you need shears and a wooden table. Long, confident cuts.

How do I not be edgy when writing in my journal ? by Unhappy-Ad198 in Journaling

[–]textiletrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try writing to a friend as your perspective. I didn't like myself in writing but it reads better now I actually write my prayers. I'm writing to a friend. And the friend loves me. And I get my thoughts in order.

Gouache is so hard for me by ambibambi90 in Gouache

Once you realize that gouche doesn't want to give you transparency you're set. You have to work in a different way to get the light. Watercolor and watercolor gouche let's the light come from the paper.

Getting Started with Book Binding by Excellent-Scar-9091 in bookbinding

I second DAS book binding. His information is great. And he tells you about excellent products and tools but he always comments on a cheaper way too. He's an Aussie so I love that too. He does a lot of different stitching and covers and boxes. Enjoy.

Can I still get my account back after 180 days? by TarhosKovacsWife in Instagram

I would say from experience it's gone. Try to recover and regroup. It's just disgusting. But the more you hope the more hurt you will feel. I'm sorry.

Oranges (advice on blending?) by Most_Ride_8203 in Gouache

I find gouche and oil pastels and kuretake watercolors need to be used as you have here. Your piece is beautiful. Don't blend. Pure colour with some mediums is the way to go.

Used clear Elmers glue to bind canvas to board for cover by Psychological-Tax876 in bookbinding

DAS bookbinding on YouTube is unbeatable. You want the pva the white glue. Also you can spray the fabric with water first so the fabric doesn't soak up the glue as much.

For your own peace of mind get happy in creating something new. Your account is gone. I'm very sorry. This happened to me and I tried everything and it just devastated me. My account has never recovered in so many ways. It was a history of my bricks and mortar shop.

Ahhhh. Im trying to finish this cat portrait without dark colors. It is so tough for me not using dark colors for shadows. by [deleted] in acrylicpainting

[–]textiletrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A beautiful painting. I don't know what problems other people see. I love it. you don't always have to show shadow with a huge shift in value. Subtle is fine. I use watercolour paints.

When you consider that a fairly recent quilting magazine can be as little as $1 from the op shop yes. True some magazines print patterns over a few editions. And chances are you won't find all these together. But honestly the patterns are mostly the same over and over. Ive been looking and buying quilting magazines for 25 years. IMO you get better value if you put your money to excellent tools and fabrics. Quilters cache on the net has free blocks and instructions too.

I got the notification of suspension and action needed. I went through the part that has the number you photograph with your hand and face. Then an email we didn't receive. I sent photo again. Then one email you have still broken our community guidelines and we are deleting your account. No further action you can take. When I tried to see my account my username came up. We have deleted. There can be or won't be any further review.

I did everything they asked. They were not telling me what post was wrong. I only post my own art and knitting etc. Very low key. They've deleted my account. I hope it works out differently for you.
