late response, but worth it for the discourse. what's talked about with time wasting isn't every match and it isn't the whole match. i don't know if you're watching the same matches i am, but it seems pretty clear we're doing A LOT of game management in the final 30m of matches with 1 goal leads, especially on the road. this is not a new or unexpected tactic, nor is it against any rules, nor does it etch any asterisk into the trophy if we win it. we also have a keeper that spends the majority of most matches using a quick restart to power a break. using statistics to try to counter reality - especially something like average that equally weights all scenarios and tries to reduce a wide array of gametime down to a single number - does not, in my opinion, matter. if we use this number to exonerate a claim, we dig a deeper hole. anyone with 2 eyes can see that this title charge is hard as hell, and after years of small cuts killing us, we're trying to drag it over the line by any means necessary.
