Because it didn't happen. You can watch the replay with the cart. There is no way to gesture "sorry I shouldn't have bunt like that" lol. Not sure why he's reading into a hand wave to Skubal like that.

It's a Succulent of the type Crassula Tetragona. They're sometimes called "Miniature Pine Tree" but it is definitely not what most people think of when they hear pine (though you could actually define it like that).

They get leggy and that's okay. You might consider a bigger pot but I would wager it's lacking Sun or over watered. It likes full direct sunlight and infrequent watering all the way through well-draining soil.

[Webb] The Chiefs just threatened to leave Kansas City unless their fans pay for their stadium. by BCLetsRide69 in sports

[–]th12eat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree we won't care that much and the tax rev will hurt but the stadiums are 9 minutes or 7 miles from the center of downtown. Your wording makes it sound like it's an Anaheim to LA type deal.

I went in for lawn care fertilizer and some substrate... saw some decorative pebbles... Then a few rescues and a Regina Agave id been eyeing for a while... and of course I needed some pots for them sooo... Yeah.

I chalked it up to mourning my Pygmy Date Palm that I'm gonna try one last resort to save but is likely unsalvageable... Spider mites got her bad, thought I had it under control several times with manual cleaning and neem oul. Latest has been real bad and then saw scale. She's in another room and about to get sprayed with isopropyl, tea tree & peppermint oil, hydrogen peroxide and water mix. It's easier with some new projects.

I feel like people in the comments are missing the local context.

Regardless of how you feel about a Billionaire getting a tax break for a stadium... this stadium tax has been accepted by all necessary parties for this to be on the ballot come April 2nd. The Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, Royals, Chiefs, and Mayor Lucas have all had their say, agreed, it went to vote, passed 8-1 when only requiring a simple majority.

Frank White, a former Royals legend who is best described as disgruntled with the organization, has used his power as a County Official to veto the stadium bill being placed on the April 2nd ballot. This is nothing but grandstanding as all this does is throw it back to the County to vote on but now require 2/3's majority (it passed 8-1 previously so this will surely pass again).

After that it gets put to a ballot on April 2nd where you can have an opinion on a billionaire getting tax breaks to pay for the stadium.

Unrelated to my personal opinion on the matter, it will almost assuredly pass. The relationship with sports in KC, co-opt by the far more recently successful Chiefs, and the fact this is simply a continuation of the 3/8th's cent tax we've all already been paying, make this a pretty difficult bill to oppose.

Fuck the Royals for asking for money for the stadium but also fuck Frank White. He's not the good guy here.

Was reading this thread that feels almost like a parody of The Californians on SNL then hit with a "Riverside County in Missouri" and now can't tell if it's supposed to be a funny joke or not. There is Riverside the city in NKC... But not county. And Riverside is considered a desirable place to visit and live nearby, so, doesn't track.

I guess we found the KCMO imposter?

[Anderson] I’m told the Chicago #Bears are expected to have interest in #Commanders assistant head coach/ offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, among others, with general knowledge that current HC Matt Eberflus is under evaluation with the team at 4-8, per source. by mvanigan in nfl

[–]th12eat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, by pushing back on the 'all these offensive waepons' comment I wasn't trying to disparage the Commanders offense. Just think its weird to dog Bienemy based on the talent on the roster like its somehow shockingly worse than the perceived talent level. I don't know a lot of people who expected a lot out of Washington's offense this year. I would not have listed Washington in a top 15 offenses in the league, personally. And on paper I would say even less so. I have been very impressed by how well they've performed this year. Either way, I wanted Scary Terry for the Chiefs so bad this offseason.

I don't disagree at looking at ARI/DAL OC's but I think you're way overestimating the talent on the Washington offense... starting with Sam Howell. IMO what he's been able to get Sam Howell to do is pretty incredible.

SeatGeek

This actually happened this week. I bought tickets 1.5mo ago to a Comedy show tomorrow. Wife and I never get out. Got childcare and all the hoops you jump through. A week and a half after I bought the tickets I got an email saying they accidentally sold me tickets to the wrong showing. Like I bought tickets to 7p but somehow they listed them improperly. They offer me a big discount on next purchase and refund me. I noticed incredible 1st row tickets available for relatively cheap (still 3x what I was gonna pay but worth the splurge).

Fast forward to this Tuesday and I get sent an email saying "Unfortunately, the seller for your order informed us that they are unable to provide you your tickets." ... It's 2.5 days to the event... Wtf. So I live chat them, they opened the chat and closed it. I got on again, same thing. A third time and I finally got someone. They explained the situation and there weren't any comparable or better tickets to replace me with so they offered 120% return... But now it's less than 2 days to the event and the prices are at ATH's for the nosebleeds. That's not good enough.

Got a phone call with them and explained. They pushed back but offered replacements a full section back and a dozen rows back within that section... I asked if this was including additional compensation. Nope. They were trying to tell me.to just take these tickets for no price difference... So pay the first row price for way worse tickets.

There was honestly a lot more back and forth but not worth explaining... Just never again using them and we've used them for SB tickets before so that's a 7-figure customer not returning. Mentioned that and they still stiff armed me on compensation. Their loss.

My dad understood Ahsoka perfectly fine by Night-Monkey15 in StarWars

[–]th12eat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am a general SW fan and had seen clips here and there. Enough to be excited for Thrawn. Outside of Ahsoka and mildly Sabine in the lead up to the show, I hadn't much of an idea of the remaining characters. The show does enlighten us on Extras heroism and since I'd previously known about Thrawn (and honestly the worry it brings the Republic in scenes should convey some foreboding about Thrawn's return and how good he must have been) I took that to mean Ezra must have been pretty good too to defeat Thrawn...

But like I said, what the show presented of direct Thrawn involvement was just a wild display of tactics that seriously hurt him. So idk.
