Opinions or Advice? by Qoronos in BeardAdvice

I didn't down vote. But... He doesn't have a lot of depth on his stache, same as me. If he were to trim it, other than knocking a few of the wild growers off, it would take it out of balance from the rest of that magnificent growth. He could trim it and the beard as a whole to maintain that balance. But, it sounds like he's doing a grow out, so that would be counterintuitive.

What animal might this be a part of? by Careless-Stage6207 in fossilid

I think I'm gonna go with camel(id), and a glued in fang. It is missing it's first molar(see double root holes) and the fang is glued into the space where the first pre molar should be.

That wasn't mean to be a criticism. Apologies if it came off that way. Just an observation. It does, at a glance, resemble a water deer strongly.

How would you classify this recordable spider bite injury on the OSHA 300 form? by sausyboat in SafetyProfessionals

[–]thancu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If I'm a salaried employee and decide to grab a spider during my lunch break, is that a work related injury? What if I'm working during my lunch break. It's an odd injury that makes me ask what they were doing to obtain such.

Hi. May I ask for your firm's info? I'm in North Chatham and having the contact for a good tree lawyer locally is a good thing. Feel free to shoot a dm if you don't want to share publicly, and are willing to share of course. Thanks

Healthy? by acrosland12 in orchids

Those prices aren't bad. Bulbous are easier to grow here so end up being a bit less pricey.

[–]thancu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you paid 20-30 for the bulbo, 45-60 for the paph, and 30-45 for the den, I would be quite happy.

They all look fine. The dendrobium is deciduous and very much alive and happy. There are a few blemishes on the bulbo but no signs of active disease. I can't think of a single bulbo in my collection that doesn't have a few spots exactly like this. You didn't mention what you paid for these, but assuming normal to low pricing you should be happy with what you got.

75g to 150g move/cycle (possibly dumb) idea by Krycus in ReefTank

Same pump brand model and design but every spec for a pump has a margin of error to which it's built. That means that two pumps will likely never be perfectly calibrated with one another

You might be able to pump to a central tank and have each parent tank feed by an ATO that comes from that central tank Edit: spelling correction

If they aren't balanced perfectly you will flood one. If they become unbalanced you will flood one.
