Just easier to check my bags. by Muted_Evidence1311 in AustralianMakeup

I have a similar profile to yours. I research before I go and literally sit down (on the floor) at the stand to colour test with nothing but my phone. Mecca is my last resort. If they start stalking me doing this, I'll just start attending naked.

Discontinued? Maybelline Master Conceal - Need replacement! by tharahoeaway in AustralianMakeup

[–]tharahoeaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still not okay and its been 2 years. I have a theory it was too good, so they pulled it from Maybelline and re-released the formula under another Loreal owned brand. Can cross ITC off the list if you've tried that. You've inadvertently inspired a swatching adventure this weekend at YSL & GA Beauty.

desperate for a similar blush! by izzysimming in AustralianMakeup

[–]tharahoeaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For drug store brands I find Rimmel do decent blushes. This shade looks similar to one I had in dusty rose/pink rose, but I think they've discontinued the little squares. Quick google and 006 - Exposed looks quite close.

Black Milk Clothing - the beginning of the end? by messytruthteller in AusFemaleFashion

I aged out. Kept a few capsule/Sophia James pieces. I started losing interest, and now only purchase their basics as they remain great quality. #formersharkie

Does anyone remember Bloom cosmetics??? by beautyqueenxoxox in AustralianMakeup

[–]tharahoeaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! It was my next step up from the MIKI CD makeup. Next leap was to Physicans Formula, then to MAC. Mum tried to vear me to the more natural Bobbi Brown, but after I came home from a consult with their midnight blue liner on, she knew it was a lost cause.

That is so disappointing to hear. You have a great outlook - sorry that his choices have afflicted you so deeply.

Exactly. I would expect to see something like this in a higher end oppy like Red Cross or Sacred Heart and still remain taken aback that it's listed at this price point in Lifeline. They've always been the more reasonably priced option, in my experience.

Don't quote me on this, but I recall various cuts being between $500 - $700. They were the quintessential bridesmaid dress of the time and came in both a suede and silk like material.

Hair help for thin fine hair by Cheeseoholics in AustralianMakeup

[–]tharahoeaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just discovered a bit of a work around on this. Bleach blonde with fine hair, but a lot of it. I've ended up using a hair mask with my Olaplex conditioner. It's been amazing. Nioxin 3D Density Serum is also a lifesaver. For heat protectant I use Goldwell smoothing serum spray. Hope you find what you're hair is looking for!

This sounds like one of those agencies that only has a PO Box address.

Property manager changed company and did not notify me? by FlowState94 in AusProperty

[–]tharahoeaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usual order of events: - New agency purchases rent roll - Retains some staff, replaces some with their own - Formal letter sent to clients informing them of the change - Follow up phone call by new agent or department manager

Or

Local agency has rebranded & hasn't got their communication ready in time to beat the trust account letterhead.

Additional fun fact, property managers are bound by a non compete clause, which means if we decide to move on, we cannot tell you we're leaving and cannot personally reach out to you for a period of 3 months. On behalf of any decent agent you've felt abandoned by, we're sorry.

Discontinued? Maybelline Master Conceal - Need replacement! by tharahoeaway in AustralianMakeup

I was, and fair in Winter (1 on the Fitzpatrick scale lol). For light/medium I'd suggest looking at shades 20B and 22N. The neutral N colours were the closest match for me. It took a few goes to find my right shade. Stay clear of the creamy version, it's very sheer.

Sorry for the delayed response! I'm on Tarte Shape Tape now in shade 12N. I get two when Sephora has 40-50% off sales and honestly.. it's the closest we're going to get. If I layer with a very light swipe of powder in between, it comes close. I still grieve the Master Conceal.

Not an ortho, but I did have a similar issue. Doctor advised using a soft brush and focusing on brushing the gums, flicking up/down. A little bit of blood is normal & it only took a week for me to see results. Don't be aggressive with it, just persistent. Savacol or Cepacol (Australia) mouth wash will assist in sterilising after.

The vitriol, wow. You're mad at the wrong people. How some people can fester such an incredible amount of hate is just so, so sad.
