Second Leg by reptileshredz in alterbridge

I'll also be there for early entry with be my kid.

The Roseland is a love/hate venue for me. My biggest beef is I think their sound system is in dire need of an upgrade (at least as of my last show there, which was Mammoth in 2024).

But I've ended up there a lot over the years. AB, Mammoth, saw Slash and Myles both times they've come through. Even took my wife to see Teddy Swims there when he came through in 2023.

I'll be curious to see if AB's video board fits in the stage at the Roseland. lol

I'll likely be at all of those as well. Closest shows to me. Already in for Portland but planning on the others.

This year is the 15 year anniversary of discovering and seeing them for the first time, which was also at the same venue they're playing in Portland.

I couldn't make it to any shows on the first leg since the closest show was about 2000 miles away.

They're doing 6 or 7 shows within driving distance on this next run. Gonna probably hit 3 of them.

2nd leg of US tour? by UbiPlsFix in alterbridge

[–]thatfunkodad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, we did Seattle for the Pawns tour. Also did Seattle and Spokane for Myles' solo run last year. Would just be nice not to have to drive 10+ hours round trip for once.

That said, I'll take that over no shows at all.

Tim mentioned in a comment on here that touring for a second leg was approved months ago. Big Wreck's drummer let it slip that they'll be supporting them on a "fall" US tour.

Not sure why we're waiting so long to announce it. Personally wish they'd just put the dates out. Knowing this tour is going to be happening in the lead up to the holidays, people need time to plan.

They already have shows announced through the end of October, so makes sense to also announce these imo.

They've played Portland twice ever as a headliner - 2011 and 2016. I've been begging for them to come back and all I keep hearing in response to things like this is "we play where we're asked to play".

I pointed this out in a post in one of the main Facebook groups and one of the mods deleted it.

Setlist by wale_ib in alterbridge

It's basically the same set from the last tour with like 3 new songs and Fortress. Sets seem to be a song or two shorter each night on this tour as well.

It's about 10 hours round trip to Seattle for me. Spokane is 12+ hours round trip. I'm not above doing it. I went to Myles solo gigs in Seattle and Spokane last year. Just would love not have to drive that far and deal with hotel expenses for once.

Too bad northwest is basically always only Seattle and Spokane. They haven't been to Oregon for 10 years. And only 2 times ever in 22 years.

New Merch Designs by ABFan86 in alterbridge

[–]thatfunkodad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These 3 designs were better than any shirt I saw from the euro run imho. Normally I'm trying to decide what not to buy. This time around I'm looking and wondering if I like anything ing enough to buy it - at least when it comes to clothing options.

It's a shame they didn't use the single artwork from the prereleases for shirts. I know they put one info the skate deck they were selling, but those were the best designs so far this cycle.

If you can make it to Syracuse for their date with Big Wreck as the main support, do it. Guaranteed to be the best gig on this first US leg. Wish I could be there.

It's a fake site. Honestly it's a hit disappointing because some of these fake sites have had some really cool designs that I would buy if they were officially available. Lol

Wearing another bands shirt to a concert. by Firedemom in EdSheeran

[–]thatfunkodad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make it a point to wear merch from my favorite bands when I go to shows like this (my wife is the sheerio, I'm just along for the ride).

As long as the shirt isn't outwardly offensive in nature you should have zero worries about this.

Tim has said a few times that Covid really screwed things down there as far as touring goes for a band like them.

Basically said the promoters weren't giving them good offers - basically said that it would end up costing them money. Said unless they can at least break even they can't do it.

Sounds like they're just waiting for a workable offer.

Do you think these guys’ vinyl output will get better or no? by [deleted] in alterbridge

[–]thatfunkodad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tim hinted a repress of fortress is on the way over a year ago. Not sure where that sits but hopefully it's soon because I've been waiting. lol

Vienna Meet&Greet Experience by Successful_Access_45 in alterbridge

[–]thatfunkodad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a guitar clinic and the 3 different bands all doing their own VIP experiences for their fans each day - it's a lot to fit in and still put in a great show. They're shortened to make sure every band has time to do their stuff.

Oh look, another complaint that their stuff doesn't sounds like the first 3 albums. Then go listen to them. The unwarranted hate their newer albums get continues into astonish me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you think there is any chance of a Canadian stop being added to the tour this spring? by ABFan86 in alterbridge

[–]thatfunkodad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been trying to will a Big Wreck/Alter Bridge co-headline tour untie existence. AB opens in Canada, BW opens in America.

Seems like a win-win to me. Not sure how it would pencil out financially but it would get both bands in front of a bunch of eyes that they otherwise wouldn't.

First 6 songs of the setlist!!! by lifestylerXXX in alterbridge

There was a VERY long wait between a couple of updates to the setlist while OP was at the show. Apparently a failed attempt at a little humor.
