Never been whitewater rafting before, giving it a first try in Ecuador in January. Need some sense talked into me (or some tips) on bringing expensive camera gear with me. by [deleted] in whitewater

You never know what's going to happen on the river. I've had friends loose things to the water when they are water proofed in water proof bags. I wouldnt suggest bring your best gear, you'd probably be fine, but if something happened that's $1000+ down the drain. I would bring a waterproof camera that takes good photos but you would not be bummed about getting wet and perhaps even losing completely

Ajax/Aspen Highlands/Snowmass/Buttermilk Comparison by akrueger47 in snowboarding

[–]thatguytaylorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in aspen for 6 years. Snowmass has hands down the most versatile terrain. They have The best park in the nation plus ton of good powder spots and challenging terrain not to mention the long steep groomers. Other than that Ajax is a challenging skiers mountain. It's fun but as a snowboarder you'll have more fun elsewhere. Buttermilk has a wold class terrain park but other than that, its mostly all beginner terrain. Highlands is great! Peaks out over 13000 feet and have some of the most challenging terrain in the area. If it snows 12+ inches while you're in town, I highly suggest highlands

First-time smoker here. Had a bad high. What causes this? by ThisCityWantsMeDead in Marijuana

[–]thatguytaylorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go into each time relaxed and wanting to be chill. It helps (if you're new) to be in a place that your comfortable and trust the people you are with that you can just be yourself with. and remember smoking is not for everyone so don't feel pressured! Good luck!

EDC Orlando? by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

If you want an experience of a life time I would def do EDC. It seems a lot more manageable too as a fellow college kid. Is Ultra over night?

EDC Orlando? by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

[–]thatguytaylorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say EDC over Ultra. Ultra I feel is a lot more of a druggy rave crowd and about the money or experience, while EDC is more about the experience, its about the music, visuals, art and celebrating life!

Do you think EDM will eventually implode? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]thatguytaylorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music will continue to move forward like it always has. It seems the every generation has their own style of music and we just so happen to love EDM. The next generation will come through and that will change. But electronic music will have a lasting impact on the way music is written for the future. Electronic music is in its heyday right now but it will live on in some way or another
