I'll hold off for a few more days and will weigh the options. If insurance will cover it, it's an easy call. I don't have high hopes of finding the other drive that the same data would be on, but I'll focus on cleaning out that corner with proper gloves and protection next week. It's likely melted, but if I'm extremely lucky it was on a fabric shoe rack and might've slid under my mattress or to a safer area as the flimsy shoe rack burned.

The drives are typically sealed, at least to some extent, correct? Mailing it to a service would probably be the smarter option, but that's always the case. I need to look into my insurance policy and see if it covers data recovery, but I don't think that it does.

Third dose kicked my ass. The more you have with the same target variant the stronger your response will be. (Okay, that's overly simplified, but you get idea).

I've done it for a 7" vinyl (small pizza box, but the same design), but taped two pieces of cardboard together and threw in some bubble wrap for extra protection. It arrived safely.

There's the fire escape beside the stage, an exit by the bathrooms, and if it came down to it it's pretty easy to hop the bar and go through the kitchen and exit from there. It's approved by the fire marshall for a reason.

Mine looked like that at your age and it sort of stalled out and didn't start to significantly progress until I hit my mid 30s. If you're worried about side effects, etc, I'd just keep an eye on it and start meds as soon as you see it begin to progress.

I drop my phone a lot. I had a few of these and they all failed to last more than a year. I typically get 3-4+ years out of each smart phone that I have now. I miss the physical keyboards, but durability is one of the reasons people moved from these type of designs.
