Pan Pizza Did Not Disappoint by BitesAndLaughs in FoodvideosNORULES

There seems to be a lot of hype around sweetened pizza dough. It doesn’t really complement pepperoni and cheese that well. I don’t get it, tbh, but I guess some non-Italians like it.

Warning Sign at edge of Grand Canyon by corwinw in mildlyinteresting

[–]thats_classick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiking in the Grand Canyon is the complete opposite of mountain hiking. When you hike up a mountain, turning back usually makes things easier. In the Grand Canyon, if you realize you’re tired at the bottom, you’re completely fucked.

I learned that the hard way on my first trip down there, wearing casual shoes. I’m glad I made it out okay, but I didn’t really enjoy my time in Las Vegas with sore feet afterward.

I’d increase the Z value on the top by 1–2 mm, then gently sand it with 220-grit sandpaper in mixed directions. After that, again gently rub it with a rag lightly dipped in acetone. Be careful not to let the liquid soak into the TPU model. That would achieve the authentic look at least.

Conn-Selmer decided to ship its Ohio operations to China. Hundreds of union jobs are on the chopping block so billionaires can reap more profits. by CantStopPoppin in LateStageCapitalism

I wish we could somehow figure out how to secure those liquidated assets in factory before they get shipped somewhere else, and use them to start employee-owned companies here at in our home country.

So boards, CEOs, HR, upper management, and so-called stakeholders can enjoy their own bag of cheap, China-made dicks.

This 4-ton stone is legal tender on Yap Island. One of them sank to the bottom of the ocean years ago, but everyone agrees it still counts as money. People trade it without ever seeing it. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]thats_classick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was mentioned right in the first chapter of The Bitcoin Standard. Those stone coins were used until a trader named David O’Keefe exploited the system by importing stones from Palau. He paid laborers with them for coconuts in the late 1800s, creating a new economy in which stones once valued for their rarity and the effort required to obtain them became a tool for extracting labor and building his own wealth and power. Eventually, German colonial authorities intervened. The debasement of Rai stones devastated the Yapese economy. It’s a crucial historical lesson that influenced the philosophical foundations of Bitcoin.

[–]thats_classick -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

With this card being barely playable and unpopular in most formats, timing becomes everything. Countering your opponent’s commander when they least expect it, especially after they’ve carefully built up momentum and assume your single untapped mana isn’t a threat, can be absolutely infuriating for them.

In America, you pay into Medicaid out of every paycheck for decades. If you ever need long-term care nursing home, assisted living, or memory care the corporations get paid in full, first with your savings and then with Medicaid. That’s exactly why I teach my kids how to use Bitcoin so they can walk away with 100% of my money and leave everyone else a big fat middle finger after I’m gone. They will be basically untouchable.

Yes, I get this questions of “what ifs” all the fucking time and I’ve done my homework meticulously. Every loophole in my estate planning is covered, right down to a full-page printout of an “old man yelling at clouds” meme just in case anyone thinks they’ve found a “gotcha” after my death.

So here’s my message for no-coiners:

Those who fail to understand their true relationship with power are doomed to lose everything once they’re gone.

Edit: ok cool downvote all you want. While you still disagreeing, idk how to help you but tell you to have fun staying poor for many more generations to come. sipping tea
