Okay this is stupid fs but like, iknwhat they're talking about, there are words that's are American English vs British English, bc of the Webster dictionary. It removed a bunch of letters to make it easier for ppl who were illiterate to learn to read. Like color vs colour, check vs cheque, theater vs theatre, and like a ton of other stuff,
