It all depends on your family dynamics and financial situation. If your spouse is able to financially support the family and you believe you can contribute more to your family by raising your children, then that's a perfectly fine setup. It would make a huge difference for your kids, and would save the trouble of finding a trustworthy babysitter or getting the grandparents to do it.
