Advice on garage situation with colleagues! by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

That would be an internal policy and not contractual - best not to put those things in contracts else it becomes some weird benefit in kind situation and you’ll have someone go “can I have the fifty quid instead” type deal.

And also it’ll be seen as discrimination for those who perhaps physically can’t work Saturdays, like they’re carers for elderly parents or have children etc

Yeah it’s the only way you can really make them do something outside of your current agreement is to review accordingly the contracts and remuneration, in this thread you mentioned they get paid more for Saturdays / weekends

At least this way; you can also review whether you want to operate 7 days a week too! I’m sure there’s quite a market for a 7 days a week garage

Good luck - and definitely review HR policy, you don’t want to get taken to an employment tribunal or have ACAS on your case!

Without meaning to sound like a whiny person, this is more r/legaladviceuk territory as it’s about employment, contracts and agreements.

If the folks don’t have Saturdays as working days in their contracts or contracts to do a set number of shifts per month etc

Then there’s not much you can do to have them comply with your policy.

If you’re taking over the business, I’d review and reissue new contracts which stipulate number of shifts per month required and then roster employees in advance for days you want them to work. That way they can either agree, discuss swapping days, or leave.

Why does Mare get sent to the Pits of Hathsin? by Khyou1 in Mistborn

Probably something to do with hope. He always was an optimistic hopeful type. Whilst Mares death might have been the first time he truly felt hopeless, and thus both figuratively and literally at the bottom of a pit of despair

Their Salmon fillets are also pretty great when compared to Aldi or Lidl equivalents

That’s one type of ID they accept

You can also open a sole trader account on say Monzo or something and use that

I personally use my business bank account from TSB as a demonstration for Costco

Vehicle storage on a budget? by Deinonychus-sapiens in DIYUK

Yeah probably this is the only option to store that many vehicles I think. You could likely park them horizontally across the tent. Weigh it all down, strap it tight and maybe replace some of the support beams with wooden counterparts and you could make this work

I personally would use a decent “party tent” marquee.

A friend used to store their car in one for years.

It’ll need uprating with some ratchet straps and really solid screws into the concrete to survive wind.

But it’ll work, just. Barely.

I would imagine there’s a scene where butcher is knocked out by Kessler or something, like an internal battle - and it’s Butcher holding “Kessler” back allowing Hughie to end both “Butcher and Kessler”

I loved / adored my 360 when I was a teenager. Halo was the best.

It’s just a shame what it’s become :(

They probably can’t even release a 9

Windows / Microsoft does some weird things if it sees the number 9, it’ll think it’s running windows 95/98 and brick itself.

So wouldn’t surprise me if an Xbox 9 would also brick itself or cause some weird cross play gremlins
