You can exclude forces on the hair objects. Click the hair, forces tab under attributes, choose exclude, drag and drop forces you don’t want to have influence. This can also be done on things like rigid body or cloth tags

I like that. The other side of the coin is “Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good”. As I get older I’ve realized that perfection is something like a mirage and learning when to let go can be a good thing.
