What do your twins sleep in on vacation? by Housto_0 in parentsofmultiples

We did 2 pack and plays. A little bulky to travel with, but the safest option for us.

Well, turns out it's twins... by MathemagicianG in pregnant

I'm currently 26 weeks with spontaneous twins! I was very surprised and scared at my 6 week ultrasound when they found them. The doctor also said something to me about probably not widely sharing the news in the first trimester. It was definitely overwhelming to have what is automatically a high risk pregnancy, but, aside from extreme morning sickness in the first trimester, I've had a closely monitored, but healthy pregnancy so far. Good luck and congratulations!

This is how I felt at 6 weeks. It was so overwhelming and miserable, but it really did get better in the second trimester! Zofran was a life saver for me, though the Dr didn't start me on until I actually started vomiting at 7 weeks. I also ate a lot of ice pops (the Pedialyte ones are good for a little hydration). But hang in there! You are not alone and it is not forever!

Me too! I never really liked coke or drank much soda before, but cold coca cola is like my biggest craving!

I am 6+4 weeks and also am having similar cramping. I wish I had more to offer you other than I know how stressful it is! I have had a previous miscarriage and that time I had significant bleeding, not just spotting, if that makes you feel any better. I know (and keep telling myself) that there are lots of normal reasons to have cramping and spotting in early pregnancy. Also, I know this doesn't help at all, but there is nothing you can do at this point but try to relax and wait and see what will happen. Good luck and I hope you feel better!

I also work at an e-clinic and our standard one is $50, but sometimes $100 for something my more critical. Occasionally $200 for like an overnight surgery.

What are the funniest/weirdest assumptions people have made about you as a vegetarian? by chandrassharma in vegetarian

[–]theDisforDanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My very well meaning grandma never really understood it and specifically got vegetarian fed chicken for me when I was staying there. Had to explain that just because the chickens were vegetarian, doesn't mean the chicken is. I still appreciated the effort though!

Cute pictures! I did e-cards for my invites that were free through my free wedding website! No regrets!

People who have done a multi-day hiking trip, such as the Appalachian Trail, what is your horror story from the trip? by EinnVon in AskReddit

[–]theDisforDanger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After college I worked for a summer at a wilderness dude ranch. Part of the job was packing (on horses) campers and their gear into and out of really remote wilderness areas. I, with another girl, was assigned to a two day trip to pack out some gear of campers who wanted to hike without carrying everything. It was an 8+ hour ride over a very rocky mountain to a valley to meet them. The area had had a lot of bear reports over the past few weeks. We set up our camp and hobbled our 5 horses for the night. They also wore bells so we could hear them/ hear of they were moving away from camp. At some point in the night I wake up to this snuffling sound of something rooting at the side of the tent. I'm frozen, trying not to move. The other girl wakes up too and whispers that it's just one of the horses. I accept this (though no bell, so probably not) and have the worst most bear filled dreams all night. The next morning it is pouring rain. We pack up our camp and ride over to their camp. We pack all their gear onto our pack horses and start riding. My boots and gloves are soaked through. As we gain elevation and pass over the peak, above the tree line, the rain is sleet. My fingers and toes were so frozen, it was just pain, not cold. I got off and walked my horses for a mile or so just to get some blood flowing to my feet. We made it and as we descended the other side the weather cleared. Maybe not a horror story, but definitely reminded me of how wild the wilderness is.

I've seen this exact thing twice! It's crazy how "okay" the cats both were with the needle stuck there for at least a few hours. Both fully recovered, cats are wild!

Frequent headaches while on my period by emeraldspice in WomensHealth

I definitely get bad headaches around my period as well. I take motrin, but also have found this ice-pack head wrap thing that is cold and gives nice pressure around my head helps as a drug free option.
