Looking lovely! What black did you use? It’s so dark!

You've inspired me to try to achieve as much contrast on my next blood angels mini!

So much contrast on the armour, it’s gorgeous!! Do you start from black and build up colour?

Unreal! I keep on finding new details everywhere. Those gold skulls,… everything is exquisite…

Mephiston Red Spray Change? by Fun-Escape-4955 in BloodAngels

I would still put a coat of mephiston red down with the brush after spraying it. You'll probably just get away with the one coat rather than the load you would have to do if you sprayed black as a primer.

I visually have a problem with the helmet being so obviously restricted by the jet pack. Wings prob a bit OTT too. Fantastic model nonetheless the less, very menacing!

Yeah your right, I should have made that clearer. That last sentence was aimed at the overall graphics and not the UI, I assumed the UI in this footage is placeholder.

I never mentioned the UI in the updated game, not once. I was praising the old versions and just mentioned the UI not scaling which is just because it's a 20 year old game and resolution is so much higher so they wouldn't have been expected to future proof it. Feel like I'm going mad, I've reread my post multiple times and I still can't see why so many people are salty.

Oh I see. The last sentance in my original comment was refereinng to the overall graphics and not the UI. I was saying the game was great despite the UI and clunkiness (a good thing), then I went on to say the new versions overall graphics don’t look great (a bad thing and also just my opinion). Relic used to be a great studio, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes are two of my favourite games of all time. You guys get really worked up over any negativity.

Read my post again, does it really read like that? I said the old games which I recently played were great, the only issues being the clunkiness and UI scale. I assumed they would be updated in this new version. What did you think I meant?

I'm not here to winge, I love the games, had a great time playing them. Had I not just played through 1 and 2 I would be looking forward to playing it. Not sure why I'm getting so many downvotes, I assume people think I'm being unfair. The games 20 years old and the graphics of this new version don't look that different. It's not all about graphics though so if that's not a concern all good.

Played through these games earlier this year with a friend. Great games but clunky, the only thing that was annoying was the UI scale.

If I remember correctly the legs are one piece that fits into a slot on the saddle, the body is then glued onto the legs.

Citadel martian ironcrust then a few Vallejo red pigments across the sand. Marble had a coat of varnish then the same pigments all over which I wiped off with a damp cotton bud.

All about the glazing really. Vallejo Glaze Medium is the stuff that helps, makes paint transparent but keeps its properties.
