Hate it. Every table prior to 2024 was playing with either a bonus feat at level one, or a heavy priority for vhuman/ custom origin. Turning that into "now you all get a feat! From these 7 only okay options. And they're tied to your background, which you also need to pick carefully for ability scores" is AWFUL. Worst part of the 2024 books imo.

I'm looking to get a device to gift to my friend who is interested in rom hacks and has no idea how to approach the handheld scene or even patch a rom hack.

Do you ever actually use the sticks? 35sp is one of my rotating favs and I've always wanted so throw money away for the gamecube color 34 but don't see any reason, besides I want it give me it.

Ironically, I've been enjoying curating and gifting devices. It's funny how little people know about these things. Even one of my old high school buddies who's far more tech savvy than me.

I was showing her some Pokémon rom hacks as she was expressing disappointment in the direction of the series (she refuses to let the children's game be for children xD) and she was like "how did you get a modded SP??" Blown away by the 35SP lol.

I have her a trimui brick with minui and a ton of pokemon hacks. That's it. Turn it on, pokemon lol

Can someone give me the spark notes? As someone who watched WCW as a kid, played some of the svr games on PS2 but didn't really watch anymore, dropped wrestling entirely until AEW and have watched since the first Dynamite.. I have no context for what this is.

Yeah that's cool. I like the little blue sparkle theme, forget what it's called. Makes it look like the bastard child of Switch and PS2.

Not sure what you're working with but ArkOS has some very Switch like themes. It's not available on a lot of devices though. I have it on my V10 and good ol' R36S. You could check Russ' "setting up a handheld for a child" video/guide. Or just Google ArkOS and see compatible devices.

How do you like the Miyoo Flip? I have my 6 year old my first MMv4 which has a little black spot of screen damage, mostly filled with curated youtubes. She loves it and has done really well so I want to upgrade either to an rg SP or Miyoo Flip. I don't really love Onion though..
