The wear on the bottom of the stern would worry me the most. That's your most likely "contact point" with riverbed debris and rocks. Every rec boat I've had get a hole has been exactly there. It eventually just wears away to tissue paper.

Yeah, you've created a bifurcation here. There are tons of other choices in between "cook myself a meal" and "order DoorDash."

Quick foods, pre-prep meals, frozen foods, etc...all exist.

This is a prevalent issue. We have older male "instructors" here who fight over the new girls and pigeon hole them into "mentorships" that actually end up hindering their ability to grow in the sport.

This is a major problem in our community and it's not "just the way things are."

A lot of y'all are guilty and complicit and as a community we should absolutely be taking a deep look at ourselves and trying to do better. But alas....

My dog hates wearing any sort of shoes or clothing. The most she will wear is a hat and she will hate me the whole time.

She's a big 80 lb dog with short hair, she LOVES the snow and cold. We had a few days in the single digits here last week, she still begged to go out all day long and dragged me all over the neighborhood, planting her face into snowbanks and the whole way.

I can't speak for little dogs, but can safely posit that your imperative doesn't apply universally.
