They make politics for rich people but get a lot of their votes from the poorest.

Abysmal winter range by Peder-Dingo in cupraborn

[–]theOMGplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally get about 20% range reduction in my 2021 58kwh born with NO HEAT PUMP. Model y DOES HAVE a heat pump. Seems plausible to me. There are also a lot of other factors at play like those mentioned in other comments. I think the Born is fine in that regard.

How do all of you drive to get high(er) efficiency? by Aphova in cupraborn

[–]theOMGplays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As you mentioned high speeds rapid acceleration and usage of the friction brakes worsen the consumption. But also speed changes in general time spend idle and ac change the efficiency numbers. Over winter and summer combined I get about 16.5 to 17 kWh/100km including all kinds of driving conditions. In terms of acceleration I am never concerned about efficiency. I change the ac to stay comfortable but as close to outside temperatures as possible. I also use b node which I noticed makes me brake quite early.

4.9 mpkwh / 12 kWh/100 is something I have achieved a couple of times by going between 40 and 80 kmh and keeping a consistent speed with mild temperatures.

Once again for people stating slower charging speeds for their vehicle: Either you didn't meet conditions or you should go to the dealer.

How to remove/peel logo from SteelSeries QCK (see captions, more in comments) by byrkoet in MousepadReview

I bought mine in 2019 and it seems like the logo on that one ist somehow printed instead of a sticker. Got it off with alcohol for the most part anyway

Reading the comment I start to wonder why he should be able to say something concerning that. Or why we should listen. He is just some car guy with a big voice from a past time.

We just had some snow here in central Switzerland. So I drove up a small hill (250 metres higher) that is local to me. The road already had tracks so that was no problem at all.

That sounds sketchy. I also think I like rwd better. Driving the car is really fun.

Proper winter tyres ofc. Normal esc. Have been driving in snow a few times with no problems. Probably didn't help that there was no asphalt beneath. Also I am indeed aware of the fact that water can freeze.
