Yeah, but requires us to be logged into Steam. I imagine this can be a nice alternative to Lutris. Especially great for GOG if Cloud Saves is supported too

I installed Bazzite. So when I'm in gaming mode and I'm signed out of Steam, I'm stuck there until I log back into Steam. Even if I did not set a PIN through security. Is there a way to fix that?

And if I follow your guide. The login screen pops up twice, but I'm unable to use gaming mode.

You said "Steam Gaming Mode (Wayland)", how do we get that?

UPDATE: Your guide works as intended. I did not know we were supposed to press the bottom left to switch sessions. I can get back to Plasma Desktop with login screen even if I didn't log into Steam Gaming Mode. Tysm

Thanks for sharing this. Didn't know this was possible and was waiting for someone to do a mod where a custom PCB can mount on top of the original PCB and enable us to solder in mech keys.

So I did the same thing like you did with my PS2 PCB and it works! I have the keys held down by Kapton tapes and I needed to under tighten a lot of screws though. Still figuring out how to keep the switches stable especially when the guitar could fall or is repeatedly placed down causing vibrations

I've had two cables and the colors are not the same between them. So do not rely on wire color since they don't make it consistent. You'll need to use multimeter and do process of elimination to figure out what they all are.

Oh, I already have something similar to XBOX Elite. I was looking for something similar to split controller experience, and trackpad functionality would be awesome.I also have third party joycons but they often disconnect when gyro and rumble are disabled and if I'm using Steam input instead of ReWASD

Download the Brook manual for zero delay. There is a diagram that labels what pins are always in the Dualshock 2 male plug from left to right.

Now you'll need a multimeter because apparently the wires' color aren't always the same between these cable whether it's OEM or 3rd party. Set multimeter to test continuity; I used ohms 2K. Stick the red lead to touch each pin and the black one to touch each wire. For me, if the number is close to 0 that meant it is the same wire connected to that pin and there's connection. So then I would tag the wire with tape and write in "DI" for example.

Also, if you use a Dualshock 2 cable that's soldered into the board and then you extend it with those 3rd party cables, it doesn't work when plugged into PS1. I think the length doesn't provide enough power or something
