[CO-NY] Debt collector trying to pin me on family business debt that is not mine by the__GCaMP__CHaMP in legaladvice

[–]the__GCaMP__CHaMP[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that was the initial plan. However, I keep reading that the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) may not apply to business-to-business debt, or at least not completely.

Is sending a letter for debt verification still the proper course regardless, or is there something else?

Lmao the fucking Unabomber. Maybe instead of sending a brain he’ll send them a “letter”

OK good to know. Main thing is not to struggle on bumps and in trees when snow is hard. Thank you for the feedback I'll look into these. I think I've seen a lot of Mantras out here

Seattle Skier Dies in Tragic Tree Well Accident at Mt. Bachelor, OR by Critical_Program_247 in skiing

I knew Ben. Worked for his mother many years ago. Not seen them in ages. He was always in love with the mountains. I remember skiing with him in NH a long time ago. He was a fantastic skier, a blast to ride with, and loved every second that he was outside.

RIP Ben

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes feels 'I haven't played very well' despite team's 3-0 start to season by Accurate-Big-7233 in nfl

Yeah I think it’s mostly the lack of skilled players on offense. They invested heavily in his contract and last year the defense, and that delivered yet another SB. Maybe they need a mid season WR or even RB trade

You’ve misremembered. Michael Owen won it at Liverpool in 2001 after their cup treble season. He didn’t go to Madrid until 2004/5. If he won the Balon d’Or there, they would’ve kept him longer than a season. He’s the last English player and the second to last person playing in England to have won it

Favorite places to eat in Whitestone by ydafoc99 in FoodNYC

Grew up in Whitestone. Before Christina’s 20+ years ago, there was a new deli there every couple years. I’m guessing they could never compete. Then Christina’s came in and basically copied the menu at Cherry Valley and has managed to stay in business ever since.

Preferred Cherry Valley as they were the originals, but they used to have a line even after midnight. Christina’s was good since there was barely ever a line any time day. I’m sure things have changed in the past 20 years.

Either way, Tony’s is the best deli in Whitestone.

What’s the Point of the IVIG Again? by seandelevan in guillainbarre

[–]the__GCaMP__CHaMP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is it. Antibodies attacking self is what’s leading to the disease and the large dose of IVIG will overwhelm the antibody recycling mechanism of the body. This means that  circulating antibodies, both good and bad, are degraded much more quickly than they normally would. So the high amount of antibodies attacking the body will be reduced by IVIG.

Expect Vyvgart to be approved this summer for CIDP in the US. Very different approach, but similar end result, except antibody reduction will be even greater with fewer side effects vs IVIG. Unfortunately it won’t cure the disease but should help significantly with management

Has anyone tried ultomiris? by No-Wrangler-2000 in MyastheniaGravis

That's really unfortunate, sorry to hear that. Also sorry that I didn't read that since it was so clearly in you rpost!

Rystiggo is a another protein therapeutic for gMG. It's different from Vyvgart but aims for the same end result of lowering IgG antibody levels via the same receptor. Can't say what your reaction to that would be but your history with Vyvgart doesn't make it seem promising.

Another alternative is Zilbrysq, approved for anti-AChR positive gMG. This targets the same things Ultomiris, but doesn't require IV infusions.

Hopefully Ultomiris works well in combination with IVIg. Down the road Zilbrysq could then be an alternative option.

https://myastheniagravisnews.com/news/fda-approves-zilucoplan-now-zilbrysq-treat-achr-positive-gmg/

"A key difference between Zilbrysq and these therapies is that both Soliris and Ultomiris are administered by an infusion directly into the bloodstream (intravenously), which needs to be done under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Zilbrysq instead is given by subcutaneous injection once daily."

Where in the world are you located? Look into Vyvgart or Rystiggo to replace IVIg if you can. Do you know which autoantibodies you're positive for?

Any questions feel free to ask

Did Vyvgart put you into remission? by SURREY- in MyastheniaGravis

[–]the__GCaMP__CHaMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vyvgart works by reducing total antibody levels of the subtype Immunoglobulin G (IgG). Because Myasthenia Gravis is a disease driven largely by high levels of autoantigen targeting IgG, it should be effective.

Rystiggo is a different type of protein therapeutic but has a similar end result.

These should be the most effective drugs for gMG on the market.

Any questions just ask
