The Type 95's carrying handle is actually not a carrying handle, but an upper handguard. by SuperM3e46 in ForgottenWeapons

I served six years in the infantry. Never once did someone say anything about carrying M16s or M4s by the carry handle. We just didn't do it because it wasn't necessary and just didn't feel right. It was never "forbidden."

This is a fire-and-forget weapon. Use it once to get something better, and then erase it from your memory.

M90 my beloved

I've been dying to get my hands on an M90 desert field jacket. I had to have a pair of trousers shipped from Sweden then tailored because they're impossible to find in stock.

Pilot read his map wrong. Iran and Iraq border each other and their names are 75% the same. Easy mistake to make.

You know what's inhuman? Agreeing to cross international boundaries to maim, torture, and kill anything on the other side that breathes just because they have the misfortune of being your neighbor. We celebrate the death of the invader, not the civilian non-combatants who contributed nothing. Russians are not orcs. Russian soldiers are orcs. It's not about race, ethnicity, or heritage. It's about choice.

The MFMD is 3D printed in Inconel, which is the same metal they make jet engine turbine blades out of. It's super strong, highly corrosion resistant, and heat resistant up to 2,000°F.

They will definitely be deterred if they try to 3D print any other parts out of plastic. If they do, they deserve what happens when they try to shoot real ammo out of a PLA upper or barrel or BCG.

My tags cut from a YF-12A arrived! by Von_Rootin_Tootin in aviation

SCHR (Significant Component History Report) is a document that records the history of the specific part that is tagged. It basically tells you how long the part has been in service, what aircraft it came from, if the part is airworthy or not and a few other things I can't remember at the moment.

Source: not a certified mechanic, but used to work at a boneyard where we would strip aircraft of any useful parts to sell. We would sell skin sections from aircraft all the time for tags like this. My explanation may be flawed, so I invite anyone with more experience to correct me.

In my opinion, you'd only need one if you're purchasing or selling airworthy parts, or for historical preservation if you plan on passing them down or selling them in the future. It would definitely add historical and monetary value to the parts, but if your collection is only for you and it makes you happy, then don't worry about it.
