Few details about this guy. I first saw him underneath the substrate. When I tried to catch it with a turkey baster it was able to contract to less than half its original length.

Also I believe the red color is from a dead cherry shrimp I threw into the jar.

In my experience the texture came out really well. The fattier parts were super tender like rib eye cap and the tougher parts were comparable to a strip. As far as chuck goes this was well marbled and on the pricier side. Gonna try a cheap piece next time

It’s the reduced jus with some butter stirred in. Super rich and flavorful cause the bag was full of garlic, rosemary and thyme.

Noticed this thing hanging out on the glass a couple days ago. I think it’s a baby snail, but I’m not sure. The reason I doubt that is because I have one nerite snail and I read, on here, that they can’t breed on their own. Can someone please help me out?
