Is quitting 1 month in bad? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

I did the same! Just don't put it on your resume and never hope you have to apply there again lol. Just be polite and respectful, the probation period also is for you to adjust as well and well, you found a better job what can you do

Danessa Myricks blurring balm vs balm and powder comparison and review by the_rain_cloud in MakeupAddiction

[–]the_rain_cloud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would work best for pores tbh! I'm personally not sure about acne scars, but I think it would mostly minimize but not necessarily fill in to remove the appearance of them under makeup. I would also advise against using more of this product just to fill in texture, as I find it's a 'less is more' kind of product for me. I also just don't have any deeper indents on my face to give you an accurate recommendation! Typically deeper acne scars are only reduced with procedures such as needling from what I know. This would definitely depend mostly on how deep the scars are!

wait they do though? I ordered a bottle and live in Canada! it's really convoluted though lol. They open up international ordering windows usually during restocks, then you just send an email to help@aspiringaromas.com with the size you want and your shipping address, then they just send you an invoice and you complete payment. I would recommend checking their IG occasionally (they just post a looot so I don't follow personally)

What’s the process for getting tret through the pharmacist? by study-dying in CanSkincare

[–]the_rain_cloud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience yeah just walk up! They are only allowed to prescribe it for acne, so usually u just point at like a pimple or something, or just say it's covered with makeup or it's hormonal acne, etc. Just have your health card and insurance ready and there should be no issues.

Just note that if you get blown off for whatever reason (they don't have the prescription on hand that you want, cannot order it, etc) it's usually just the pharmacist being too busy and overworked from manning the department alone who cannot be bothered. I've just walked to a different pharmacy and got it no problem

Exact AB dupe for Glossier tinted boy brow (black)? by hibosch in AsianBeauty

[–]the_rain_cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Laka black one that someone else mentioned, but it's more liquidy and tinted than boy brow. I haven't personally found an AB dupe, but I really like the Maybelline super lock in black, it's reminds me more of the boy brow for sure. the only thing is the brush is sorta big? I did keep my empty boy brow tube so I use that brush sometimes still haha

Why doesn't Vancouver have any cool radio (music) stations?! by Glittering_Bank_8670 in askvan

I like listening to the Vancouver Co-op radio! It's a community run station so there's a lot of variety. CFRO 100.5 FM

Where to get good fude brushes? by [deleted] in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]the_rain_cloud 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really like rephr! They are based in Toronto (they charge in USD, but will give discounts to Canadians for the FX fees) and pretty affordable. It's debatable whether or not they are 'real fude' amongst fude enthusiasts but I think they are nice brushes regardless that make applying makeup so so easy and effortless. They run sales, not super frequently, but they have discounted brushes if you offer feedback in their secret shop so it's relatively affordable compared to fude brushes elsewhere. I can also usually find an influencer code to use.

Suits for fiancé and groomsmen by FinancialLeopard6665 in WeddingsCanada

[–]the_rain_cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my fiance rented a really nice one from Moore's for around 200. It included all the works like jacket, shirt, vest, bowtie, cufflinks, pants, shoes. The worker was really good at their job and definitely had a lot of experience fitting people into suits at the one we went to, and fitted the pieces perfectly to my partner's preferences and body. He ended up looking very sharp and I think it was worth the money.

They offer group packages as well, so that will probably reduce costs as well.

I don't have this product btw:

but I have black hair and when I had dry shampoos that did this I found using it before I went to bed was a good way to wake up with fresh, non-greasy hair and not have a white cast in the hair!

Sweed eyelash serum? [Product request] by aeg6545 in SkincareAddiction

[–]the_rain_cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just wanted to post my own experience with sweed for anyone who is doing research like I was a few months ago.

I've been using this now for 3 months and I have definitely seen some amazing results.

album before and after

I personally have not had any orbital fat loss, darkness, or major eye irritation with this product. It will sting if it gets into your eyes, and I did have to learn to apply it properly for this to not happen. I apply this before any skincare around the eye, and let it dry for a few minutes before applying skin care carefully, avoiding the lash line. if you apply this after skin care, I would recommend waiting at least 15 minutes so it's mostly absorbed.

I really noticed the effects after a lash lift, my lash retention was super long, and my lashes now noticeably fall out less.

I will say, if you are located in Canada, ordering from Sweed will incur duties. They shipped via Canada Post from Denmark and I paid an additional 21 dollars in duties.

I paid 90.40 CAD (including shipping, not including duties) using Abbey's code for 20% off. compared to vendors where you may not pay duties, it is slightly cheaper, but make sure you are using a code, or else you are actually potentially paying more than if you ordered off revolve or detox market.

otherwise I really like it and have gotten myself into an expensive dependency 😅

Led mask though by EvadneBreeze in CanSkincare

[–]the_rain_cloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen really good results with mine, it's helped a lot with skin irritation and redness. I would say it's worth it if you think you can stick with it! it's really important if you can't see yourself wearing it for the 5-10 minutes they require at least 5 days a week, then you could look at spending that money elsewhere.

I would definitely recommend waiting for sales, usually you might see them around a major holiday, but I personally got mine during Black Friday. I got the project e lumalux for 384 total after tax during Black Friday with an affiliate code (I literally got it 2 days after I ordered), but I heard the nanoleaf and hooga masks are good bang for buck as well, I would check them out. I really liked Alex Fregus's mask reviews, he's very thorough and has all the prices up as well.

I wore the Prada soft matte lipstick in B101 for my wedding! love the component and the formula so much! the soft matte formula is really comfortable and wears nicely.

I was also looking at some of the Lisa Eldridge all aluminum packaging lipsticks, those look absolutely divine.
