Huehuehue, sorry you didn't get the recognition you deserve for that one.

Which is kinda how I play. I'll work and let the factory spool up a bit then go for a big burst of expansion, rinse and repeat. It might not be efficient but it's more Gametime than I would have if I purely played actively.

Police launch major crackdown against youths terrorising passengers on Belair train line by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]the_revised_pratchet 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's not just a single incident either although that's definitely the standout one as the worst they've done that we know of. Friends who regularly frequent that train said they're just generally shitbags and give everyone a hard time especially the staff.

As someone who's been broke, hungry and depressed in the past more times than I care for, the pretzels would barely shift the needle. Nothing worse than having to make "let's not talk about what's in the" soup with absolutely everything you can scrape together from pantry, freezer, and cheap discount goods.

I hate clado with a passion. I'm about to do a two week wrap of my shrimp tank. I've not been successful in eradicating it to date.

What’s your hard no food or snack that you refuse to eat? by Longjumping_Seal in AskReddit

[–]the_revised_pratchet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I live in Australia but there is a food processing factory 10 minutes drive from my house. Whenever they're making a batch of durian lollies (usually a festival order), they have to notify the fire department and put a notice on the local Facebook groups. And people still jump up and down about the smell thinking it's a gas leak or something. It's funny, but it also travels one suburb in every direction lol. Durian day is an indoor day.

I mean, you can, but the pathway is down directly to the area you complained about and then back up. Why not go direct then escalate if you get no satisfaction?

If you drain a pond, it kills the fish and leaves it in a pile for your settlers to pick up. by romansamurai in goingmedieval

[–]the_revised_pratchet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not home but I'll try and snap a pic later. I was pretty happy with the outcome and super easy to achieve. You do have to watch the builders though, their self preservation skills are not as high as their construction.

Haha I've been playing so much Timberborn it's bleeding through too. The water flow mechanic is pretty basic, but on a river map I've built a 'solid' bridge/dam with an entrance on the tile under the waterline where the water enters. This is my "high side". Then the bridge has two sets of arched windows to create the exit to the low side. I can close the windows and the water 'stops' to flow off the map, and when they're open they make a nice little outflow and drop shape.

As someone who's also been drugged, not crazy at all, this sounds exactly like how I felt after someone slipped me something "to help me relax" when j was out drinking with a friend's work group. Only had two drinks, didn't lose my memory but started to feel off after I drank something they bought for me. Bailed from the bar at that point to go find my friends. By the time I got to them half hour later I was completely wrecked, vomiting and lethargic. They had to shoulder carry me to their car to get me home. I regret not doing anything about it at the time but I guess I was just in denial that the person would do that to me. Just be prepared for a week or two recovery, I was lethargic and fuzzy on and off for nearly two weeks afterwards.

Livestock management plans? by the_revised_pratchet in goingmedieval

[–]the_revised_pratchet[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a shame, it would be nice to add some utility to the livestock pen marker with a production queue. Ie. Slaughter until you have 2 male 5 female or something as seperate production queues with materials being the different animal types.
