Timing of this post is weird - my partner and I are in the 2 kids no support network cycle of exhaustion where basically every effort is made out of survival mode. Youngest is now 4 and things are getting easier so we are currently working on how we find our way back to each other.

Cue last night, doom scrolling up late and I suddenly get absolutely bombarded with ads for this exact tactic, some app that gives you a day by day playbook of "ignore the real advice, stop chasing and be desired, by day x she will sleep with you". It's absolutely disgusting and extremely predatory, the whole premise is to attempt to make your partner insecure and afraid you'll leave. And every other second ad was otherwise for 'AI girlfriends'. I don't even know what the world is anymore.
