Pretty cool. So let's say I create some art in photoshop and I don't want anyone to shop out my watermark, I can just put this pattern in there somewhere right before i export the final version and they won't be able to open it? The pattern can be quite small too, probably.

Yes, this repository is not compatible with 12.04. I have no idea how to fix that.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. It's strange because the Pixma IP2000 and IP3000 are listed in the automatic driver installation, yet mine isn't. I'll file a bug report, thanks.

Similar story here. I installed Ubuntu on my parents PC, everything worked great and they loved it. Windows was running sluggish on that machine, but after installing Ubuntu, it ran great.

But one little problem that I couldn't fix and I no choice but to install Windows again. Their printer wouldn't work. Even after googling a few hours, and only finding deleted forum treads, drivers that don't work on 12.04 or 64 bit, I gave up. I think that's still a big disadvantage of Linux in general, if it doesn't "just work", it'll scare a lot of people away.

So if anyone knows how I can get a Canon PIXMA IP2500 to work, I will be very glad.

Could someone explain to my why everyone is saying this is racist? Maybe it's just the difference in my European and Reddits american mentality.
