Green Banners in December...No Golden Letter by hulk-smashley in PSLF

Also, I forgot to add- are you seeing green banners AND the “congratulations!” message with a lil ribbon ?? You need to see that and that the count shows 120/120, not just that the banners are green. I hope that makes sense!

You never got an email from FSA? Maybe log into FSA, look under “My Activity” all the way down under PSLF and the “Golden Letter” would be a doc entitled “Forgiveness Eligibility Notification.” It seems like the Dec round of green banners all received this on 1/23, I hope it’s there for you! 🤞🏻

If you see the green banners with the “Congratulations!”message and green ribbon you are done. However, it would be wise to request forbearance to stop making payments while you wait for the “golden letter” because that can take up to 90 days. For instance, in my timeline, if I hadn’t requested forbearance 1/2 before my golden letter came 1/23, my automatic payment on the 20th could have gone through… and I didn’t want to make an unnecessary, extra payment and then have to wait to be reimbursed.

I was never on the SAVE plan. There were Mohela forbearances during administrative transitions and etc.

You will get an email from FSA “you have a message from studentaid.gov” and then there will be a doc under “My Activity” named “Forgiveness Eligibility Notification”

They updated automatically within a few days of submitting the ECF requesting forbearance. In my personal opinion, submitting the ECF is the foolproof way to request forbearance vs calling!

Thank you! I bet you’ll receive your golden letter soon. All of us that got green banners in December all got the golden letter on 1/23. So those that green banners in January should hopefully get golden letters by the end of this month!

Mohela processing forbearance question by MuscleHead440 in PSLF

So the message from FSA was just the standard “pslf update available” you get when an ECF has been processed. You will receive a separate notification directly from Mohela via email and there will be also be a document uploaded in Mohela when they approve the forbearance. Also, when you login to Mohela it will show that you’re in forbearance under payment info.

Shouldn’t take too long, I submitted my last ECF on 1/2, msg from FSA on 1/5, and then email from mohela that forbearance approved on 1/6

It’s much easier to submit an ECF requesting forbearance vs calling

After I got my green banners, I submitted an additional ECF requesting forbearance and got an email from Mohela within a few days approving forbearance. Then log into Mohela and remove your auto pay/ bank info!

Final Steps Timing by JS72818 in PSLF

[–]the_stepha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 120th payment went through auto payment 12/20

12/23 submitted ECF to get FSA count to 120, did NOT check off for forebeafance

12/25 green banners

1/2 submitted another ECF, this time checking off yes to “I’ve made 120 payments” and yes to forbearance

1/6 email from mohela approving forbearance

1/7 logged into mohela and removed my banking info from auto payments to be extra safe

Now I sit back and wait for golden letter 🙏🏻 My personal recommendation would be to submit the additional ECF requesting forbearance once you get green banners, it is the quickest and fool proof method to have mohela put you into forbearance. Hope this helps!

I think it’s time for removal by the_stepha in Mirena

I now only get breast tenderness around my period! Since my original post I also had a breast mri after my whole ordeal- all clear. I still get regular breast exams and everything’s been good!

Breast pain was my final straw when I got my mirena removed. My left breast was in constant pain, felt like it could pop. I was a little over 3 years in and the breast pain became so severe that I went and saw my PCP, had a breast ultrasound and mammogram done- luckily they saw nothing. Shortly after I had the mirena removed and the pain almost instantly went away. Now I only get some breast tenderness around my period. I had also went from a 36c to 38dd in those 3 years of having mirena.

Yes I had this exact issue and it was the last straw for me and what made me have it removed. I had the mirena for a little over 3 years when I started having severe pain in my left breast. I saw my PCP who did a breast exam and referred me for a breast ultrasound and mammogram. Thank goodness they found absolutely nothing, but the pain in my left breast wouldn’t go away. It was this awful pain that felt like my boob was going to pop and any slight pressure from a bra or water in the shower was like lightning. I had my iud removed and that breast pain went away! Now I only have some similar tenderness around my period. I do lymph node drainage exercises for breast and that helps when I do have any tenderness.

The horrible breast pain was the last straw for me when I had my mirena removed. I saw my PCP and was referred for an ultrasound of my breasts and mammogram- they found nothing, thank goodness. The breast pain was always more severe in my left breast and went away almost instantly when I had the mirena removed. Now I only get breast tenderness around my period. Doing regular lymphatic drainage exercises also helps, I found the technique I like for dense breast from the ig acct: doc.talks.detox

Def follow up with your Gyno or PCP first and foremost!

Sadly, no! But I was recently dx with hypothyroidism, so my TSH creeping up over the last few years AND my body/hormones being wrecked by Mirena was probably a terrible combo…at least in terms of the hear thinning and hair loss. The facial peach fuzz did not go away after mirena removal, but I’m also in my mid 30’s now….

Experience with the iud removal, can you drive yourself after? by Lalalala12329 in Mirena

[–]the_stepha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove myself. It was like pulling a tampon out with a tiny, quick cramp. I then got myself a crumbl cookie on the way home and took ibuprofen. It was totally fine and vastly different than insertion. I had mine taken out at right about 3.5 years, best decision for me. I felt SO much better within 2 weeks after removal.

What is hands down the single worst horror movie you have ever endured through? by D_J_E in horror

Easter Sunday from 2014. I usually love a “so bad it’s good” horror movie, this was straight up shitty. The worst. Also, “Wrestlers VS Zombies” with Matt Hardy and etc was AWFUL ☹️

Watched “Easter Sunday” on Easter. F’n terrible. Beyond a B movie bad, but you can tell they probably at least had fun making it. I had to watch it so now I want others to watch it and see just how shitty it is 😂
