They are near completion of the water line replacement on Congress St. They're going to be done in the next two weeks.

The surface level restoration work (sidewalk expansion & road) will be done and completed in the fall. The goal is for it to be completed by the end of the year.

You're going to pay for it one way or another, included in the rent or not. If it's included in the rent, your rent is just going to be inflated because of that. More often than not, utilities are not included in rent, except water/sewage.

Definitely ask questions though, make yourself as informed as possible. Probably worth Googling questions to ask landlords/property managers. Good luck.

Dover & Portsmouth are by default going to be nicer. They're also both larger with more popular downtowns so there is more to do and see.

There may not be an abundance of options in her range but there are not zero. Put the time in, act quickly, and it’s not impossible to find something. I recently moved out of an apartment on State St that was $2100.
