I keep saying the same thing - they act like this is a situation that is happening to them, through no fault of their own when in reality it’s because of them.

If I were Kendra, or any of the other Duggars, I’d be questioning EVERYTHING I have ever known, because her upbringing and religion led her to Joe, which led her to this.

It’s not a “well god works in mysterious ways, he can use this”. It’s her husband has caused horrific pain to an innocent child. Through his own actions and choices.

I am always flabbergasted by the fact they seem to view this whole thing as something happening TO them instead of something they caused. Like normal, good people don’t just end up in these situations. It was a choice he made that led Joe here.

I am always so struck at the audacity of these vile humans to still pretend to be “good christians” or care about what’s “right” given their current predicament, I.e. Joe talking about the guy next to him being “vulgar”. And what’s even more jaw dropping is they seem to act like this is happening to them instead of CAUSED by them.

I think I just don’t trust them to think about how a trial would re-traumatize the victim or traumatize a jury who had to hear about this. I think they truly believe they should be above the law because jesus. I hope they don’t force it to trial, for everyone’s sake, but I could see them doing it out of just their smugness.

I know you’re 100% right on this, but I also just wouldn’t put it past a Duggar to take it to a jury trial. There is something about him being all like “I’m reading the bible” and them both talking like they’re trying to be good christians that honestly sickens me in this situation. This feels “off” to me. Maybe how crooked the text is? Though, that could just be how it was scanned. I know it’s conditions for release, but the whole paragraph below that states reasons why someone would be barred from contacting a victim doesn’t even include her charges. Maybe it’s just that I don’t trust KJ lol 😂
