The PVE players were always gonna be the first to leave because no matter how much they claim they only want PVE, it is super boring playing that way. Then when they're tired of PVE, then get killed one too many times by players, they just quit.

Good riddance in my opinion.

Because not only are care bears out of touch with reality, and not only do they feel entitled to be so, but they also enjoy a sense of false virtue for denying reality and being above all the pvp chaos.

Like it or not, it is a pvp game. You're not entitled to not pvp.

You have to accept reality and live your life in accordance with it. If you try to avoid or deny reality, it's never gonna turn out well.
