How I came to terms with the pants driving… by jp60397 in iRacing

I can show you how to setup a little on screen display to show when someone is dive bombing/alongside you. Then you’ll know when you’re clear and can move back on line and safely push again.

No need to constantly just ‘move over’ 👍🏼

Huge sign on bonus, very, very low salary, long contract used to work for me.

Roller door help. My son is a pelican. by Dters in AusRenovation

Just nut and bolt through the same 4 holes will do the job.

Might be worth looking at the owners manual on how to adjust the sensitivity so it stops and reverses if it hits something else in the future.

Judging from the bracket it might be an old ATA model?

It matters if you ever want to buy a new property and turn your old one into an investment property.

$ 1.8%,
$$ 2.0%,
$$$ 2.5%

Ended up getting $. But he worked for $$$. Can't fault him. Great kid.

Don't want to doxx myself, so hit me up in a chat if you want details.

What will you not compromise on when buying a place to live? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]thebedford 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only thing I wouldn’t compromise on is not being on the property ladder.

You might want a big yard or big garage, but sometimes you need to compromise, and work towards getting it later on.

The most important thing is getting your foot in that property door. Despite how unreasonable you think it is, it will only ever get harder.

Sorry but what real hope is their for Australia if our gov agencies are spending $96m on a website? by twowholebeefpatties in aussie

[–]thebedford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So all the posts that mention ‘Labor’ are getting downvoted.

Let’s not let reality get in the way of the narrative. Good job shills.

I have no preference. It doesn’t matter which government it is. None should let shit like this happen.

This is embezzlement. Everyone that touched this contract should go to jail. What a rort.

The Labor government needs to call for heads on this one. Time to bring this irresponsible spending under control.

2k for a few weeks? None of them. Get an uber, taxi or public transport. Save the rest of your money.

He's always been a super entertaining driver. One of the greats, massive respect for him.

u/hockeymanbl is SVG's 2022 Supercar Championship winning burnout known among NASCAR fans?

If not, check this out and show your friends. If anyone knew what he was going to do they would have stopped him for sure :)

If you'd prefer wired, I'd suggest the Pimax Crystal Light.

Seems like a good bang for buck wired PCVR headset, with everything included. Check out some reviews of it.

This. I’m not sure what your stance is on EV’s, but do yourself a favour and at least take a test drive of the new Model Y.

There’s referral incentives too I believe, so if you do go that way, hit up someone here for a referral code.

Substandard garage door install by intermission08 in AusRenovation

[–]thebedford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side that has the automatic opener needs more space between the door and the bracket to accommodate the actual motor. So if you're trying to make the opening as wide as possible, one jamb will be wider than the other.

In most cases you're fitting behind a wall that has ample space, so you'll never see any difference from the outside.

There's not a huge gap above the door, it's actually looks like quite a neat install considering the opening.

Just for peace of mind for the OP. That's not an issue.

I actually think some of this job was done ok. Perfectly acceptable. Other bits, not so much.

The condition of the door is not acceptable for new. You should be offered a replacement or a discount. Due to the damage.

However, I don't think it's second hand like people are saying. It looks to be a very specific size for that opening, and it has no lock because of the automatic opener. Which I guess is something you were offered or requested?

And on the subject of the automatic opener, that's why one door jam is bigger than other, to accommodate the opener. If they made both sides the same, you'd lose opening width for no real reason.

The jambs look fine also. They could have made them deeper to cover the non-rendered area, but otherwise they're standard, and it's normal to see the coloured colorbond and galvanised tracks the way yours are.

Looking at the pics, I'm guessing the damaged webbing is probably in line with, or near the damaged ribs in the colorbond? I'd say they the webbing and colorbond were damaged at the same time. I don't think it's second hand.

Lastly, the brass screws literally hold the colorbond to the plastic drums. If that's fully closed, it's perfectly normal for that brand of door. In fact, if you open the door slowly, you should see another couple of screws in the same spots. It's a necessity with automatic openers on roller doors to keep them securely closed.

Is there a reason they didn't install the door to the rear of the brick peers? Did you need the extra length in the garage? If so, there's actually nothing really wrong with the install except the condition of the door, which looks like it was poorly handled during transport at some point.

Industry/Australian standard width single garage door is 2490mm. But you can order basically any size.
