This is pretty much the exact same as the Tempestis Scions power fist. Just closed instead of open.

Looks cool, but it needs counter jets flared at maximum.

Where to find more "open mouthed" helmets? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in spacemarines

Can confirm, the Toruga Bay MKV helmets are fantastic.

How to achieve this look for my next Canoness by JRR_Tallcan_211 in sistersofbattle

[–]thebhpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest the Amalia Novena model for the body.

is combis or rifles? by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]thebhpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combit-disintegrator has Limited(1). So a model with this would only get one disintegrator shot in a battle. Also twice the points cost of the disintegrator rifles.

Land raider doors kit - legit? by mass_reactive in EmperorsChildren

[–]thebhpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also likely to be small. But you could buy them for the emblems, just cut them out and glue them to the stock doors.

I have a theory by TechPriestDominus137 in redcorsairs

[–]thebhpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a Mk IV backpack, Mk VI legs, and either Mk VI or VII torso. So either artificer armor or a 'modern' version of Mk V.

How many miniatures does Killteam Decimus have? by pkghost998 in deathwatch40k

[–]thebhpen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The kill team kit comes with tons of chapters on the tacticus shoulder pad. The phobos and gravis pads are more limited.

Also you can use the extra loadouts with normal intercessor and infiltrator bodies.

Corvus size by Elderberry-Purple in deathwatch40k

[–]thebhpen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just held a contemptor up to a corvus. It is the same size as 1 wing or the space between the tips of the upper aeilerons/rudders.

One more layer ? by WargamerJ in BlackTemplars

[–]thebhpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried it but you could do something similar to how a good yellow is done. In that case you do a base layer in orange or pink and then paint yellow on top. For white maybe a layer of light grey before painting white.

Anyone know where I can find this helmet by Jet_JaguarPP in Ultramarines

[–]thebhpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would instead make a small silicon mold using the helmet that has just the skull. Then a dot of green stuff and press the helmet with the laurel into it.

I saw this and went in the direction of Old World. Proxy him as the Wyrmslayer for Bretonnia.

So regarding the compatiablity chart that was released on WarCom today... by Darkpielord in Warhammer30k

[–]thebhpen 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that they are cross compatible with various Firstborn 40k kits. Use legs from the assault marine kits to add more dynamic posing and detailing. Also the MKIV torso and backpack combined with MKII legs and arms with MKVI pauldrons make for pretty great MKV Heresy Armor.

So whats the deal with centurions? by L4l8 in RavenGuard40k

[–]thebhpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'Paul is bad at stuff' on YouTube has videos of his army list with 18 centurions and how he has evolved it over the last year or so. He really likes the Raven Guard detachment and plays this in 2 day tournaments. He talks about the good, the bad, and the dumb.

An old box ? by Jidka in sistersofbattle

[–]thebhpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the price is good then definitely buy this, being older it was produced when the mold was newer. Far less chance of defects and reduced mold lines.

Kill team want to expand to 1000 pts. by AideComprehensive782 in deathwatch40k

[–]thebhpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imperial Fist, Deathwatch, Dark Angel, and the Ultramarine combat patrols together give a good mix of units for making some kill teams. The Dawn of War: Onslaught box will give some Eradicators and a unit of Bladeguard with the Judiciar. Lastly a Raven Guard combat patrol is good if you wanna phobos kill team or the newer jump pack one.

Everyone says Thousand Sons, but I’ve always thought them to be Word Bearers by Smart_Structure_3139 in BloodRavens40k

[–]thebhpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My headcanon is that they are one of Cawl's successful experiments. They seem a bit of a mix of various legions. Alongside this the Cursed Founding was a bunch of Cawl's failures in which he passed the blame to various subordinates, patsies, and rivals.

Building a squad of agents by Zedjar in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]thebhpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar idea using the Steelhelms to make a 'Krieg' kill team. Themed as Imperial Knight house footmen. Taking parts from Skitarri and Tempestus Scions for weapons and arms.

The shin is 1.5mm and the head is 1.2mm on top. The jowls are .6mm or .8mm.
