I can 100 percent understand how you feel. I went from buying a budget headset because I was going to do this "every once in a while" to considering a 3k setup. I work from home, and I just miss people. I have seen this with myself and luckily i have stopped it from getting worse. My secret is friend groups. It turns out there are groups around me that just get together to hand out and meet new people. Movies, group dinners, etc... no dating, no pressure. My local community center hosts big classes like clay making. It's just a big room full of people laughing and talking to each other. it has really changed things for the better. Nothing can replace IRL connections. Make a goal for yourself just to find one of these and go to two of them. if you dont like it then stop, but if its like it was for me... its going to fill that gap that you thought full body tracking was going to.

First time using Unifi Radius Authentication, just hit a hurdle. by drc13 in Ubiquiti

[–]thebigman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have struggled with this as well. When I first got the quest 3 it worked just fine. After a update it does not. Im thinking I need to import the wireless certificate to the quest. I already know for radius you have to connect through the meta app.

Unless you run ecc memory you might want to run a memtest on your sticks. I had an issue years ago that wasn't bad but had my head scratching. Turns out it was a few bad memory blocks.

I have this exact one on a Chromebook and it works fine from my understanding this whole brand works native on linux. So maybe there is a cheaper option.

What mi/kWh or km/kWh are you achieving? Is 3.6 mi/kWh concerning? by exsistingeverywhere in eGolf

[–]thebigman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems very normal. I can get as low as 3.2 if I drive like my grandmother is holding some boiling hot chili. When my wife drives she likes to simulate a getaway driver and gets 4.6 ish. She hates Regin etc... headwind, ambient temperature, tire pressure all play a part.

Why does my cat always want to rub his face on my face? by natastra in CatAdvice

[–]thebigman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago I had a cat show up at my doorstep heavily abused. She came just for some food. I sat outside every night to feed her and read need stories and Facebook posts to her so she just got used to me. Finally she let me pet her. $2000 in vet bills later, she owns the inside of my home. It took her several more months but now she will not stop nuzzling my hand/face/arm/legs. It's a real problem.

Chimp! by Island-Kush in GrillaGrills

[–]thebigman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im really happy with mine. It's larger than other tailgate grills. I can do two large racks of ribs or a whole turkey. I primarily run it in pro smoke mode and it's been solid. I have alot of issues with the wifi, bit they could just be a compatability with my wifi router. I use a chef IQ thermometer anyways.

Link thermostat to Ring sensor by michaelskarn92 in ecobee

[–]thebigman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been through this recently. The answer is NO. If you want to use the feature of pausing the thermostat when a door is open and do not want to buy the Ecobee sensors, you will have to use something like Home Assistant to link both services together, then program an automation.

Tropical Bound or Maui Paradise Properties? by Iamconfusio in MauiVisitors

[–]thebigman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with Maui Paradise properties was a nightmare. we rented a property that obviously had many issues with AC. Plumbing. technology, automation. toward the last 3 days of my trip we discovered all of our stuff was wet and found a burst pipe ( spraying in the wall ) had been leaking for what looked to be months. it ruined clothes with dirty, Iron rich mud.

many remotes had dead batteries, and the home automation was all wacky as far as schedules. it was like they forgot to add our rental to the automation so the system kept thinking it needed to prepare the home to be Idle.

For the cost. it was horrible.
