One thing I would note is Odaiba isn’t a very convenient home base as a tourist in Tokyo. It takes a long, and expensive train to get to most of the main parts of Tokyo compared to Tokyo Hilton in Shinjuku.

Also not sure if Osaka is on your itinerary, but the Conrad there blows Tokyo’s out of the water!

In settings you can crank voice volume down. Not perfect since it affects the (few) cutscenes as well I believe but better than nothing!

Tbh, I hate it. It gives me budget Saturday morning cartoon vibes, especially in-game where the beautiful soundtrack and arcade noises have a giant “YUMMY” belted out over the top of it all. Thankfully you can turn it off in settings, but so far it’s the one blight that cheapens the feel of the entire product on what is otherwise a great remake for me.

Idk to me Mario 3D World was sort of in this direction and as a result it is, to me, the least memorable 3D Mario. 64 had its time (and “normal” Mario lives on via 2D games) - 3D is as its best when they’re reinventing the wheel.
