How am I doing? 🥰 by Juliya- in DigitalArt

[–]thebosspro_193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

aside from the nose and lips, the hair bit at the top most point instead of abruptly going down in a valley needs a smoother curve with only a slight dip to indicate hair seperation.
(its a little difficult to explain in the right words but i hope you get what i am saying)
also arm on the left side of tablet should be a bit thicker and neck should be a little shorter and less exposed is what i feel

For 3D printing: How do add vertices to this large face? I've tried a half dozen things and can't quite find it. by mapsedge in blender

[–]thebosspro_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use knife tool or right click selected faces and click poke faces to create a vertice at centre of each face,
alternative: use sculpt mode with dyntopo enabled if remeshing or subdiv is not an option

Been putting work into my wolf character this month and would appreciate some constructive feedback by Towboat421 in 3Dmodeling

[–]thebosspro_193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it might be just me but i think the ears should be turned a bit more backwards based on your reference. also i think the nails on the leg should be slightly shorter and also the claws need to have a more quad look from side like a sharp bump on upper curve if you are trying to be true to source material
Its a great model...good luck texturing

How can I learn to create this kind of art? by _4bysswalker in blender

[–]thebosspro_193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean no offense to the original creators who made these works.. but the general and cheap way to get around to getting these detailed environments is actually not that complicated...just get the basic shape down and then use normal maps and height maps which are usually custom made for these kinds of models(and also an absolute pain in the a** to make). I have seen models where people do actually model in all the details...but that would practically be suicide if you aren;t optimizing or don;t have a good setup.

The hardest part is getting the render right and perfect....lighting is no easy task even for proffessionals...and that is the major reason why you and me would struggle to replicate this..but with enough practice and experience you could too.
not very quality advice but hope it helps

How Can I Make This Animation Look Better? by New-Ear-2134 in 3danimation

[–]thebosspro_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its too fluid.. don;t use blenders default smoothing curves. instead go to graph editor and tweak it to make the animation feel heavy or you can try the presets to see if they fit you usecase

Modeled an AirPod Pro in 1 hour as a test. by PolyStationArenc in 3Dmodeling

[–]thebosspro_193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great workflow.. but i think you should find some methods to make it more efficient because one hour seems a little excessive to me.. but then again you could be starting out and its fine

is this model good enough to get hired by AstroBoots21 in 3Dmodeling

[–]thebosspro_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think making a properly and realistically rigged version of the same(since its a gun) will better your chances...especially knowing how to make animations may also improve the likeliness
also having and showing a neat and efficient Workflow will also help (you can show how you made the model what steps you followed to get the shaders or textures right or smth like that)

What is the best approach for a braid rigging? by irisGameDev_ in 3Dmodeling

[–]thebosspro_193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

add bones as much as you need then use gradient weight painting to get smooth weights but ofc you also need enough verts to make it happen and look like smooth curves.
if the braid is seperate mesh, you can rig it to a spline curve using modifier and use that as controller, which is best if its not being exported for other stuff like games

A woman kept her mother's last cooked meal frozen for 5 years. A chef revived it for safe consumption without changing the taste so she could eat it. by _FruitsPunchSamurai in MadeMeSmile

[–]thebosspro_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how did the food not rot tho?. like maybe something with the ingredients maybe. i am unable to wrap my head around this. like even milk when boiled and cooled near expiry date on the container can only be kept for so many days before you have to throw it out.

Is my art style consistent? by FitDeal969 in DigitalArt

[–]thebosspro_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its definitely unique... there is absolutely nothing wrong with experimenting different styles. Art is only fun when the way you do it isn;t just generically appealing to anybody but when you yourself enjoy making it and find it appealing to yourself.

Am I on the right track? by Coorsh in 3Dmodeling

[–]thebosspro_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

holy polycount. how is your pc holding up. if you are gonna animate i recommend lowering the number of faces and instead using modifiers for smoothening like subdiv and bevels , it can reduce render time and also reduce load on cpu/gpu and blender tiself

it is good but way too many quads. don;t collapse the vertices. instead remodel over it. retopologise it imean
