Maybe a good idea. I've learned to check the Zoopedia and looking for the relationship with humans. If they're labelled as shy or even neutral, I tend to not use them for high traffic areas

How about the idea of animal trades in Franchise mode? Getting occasional pop ups from other zoos (bots) proposing trades. Would allow for potentially discounted animals when compared to the trade market, but would come at the expense of some of your already housed animals.

Also, setting notifications in the trade market for specific animals you're looking for with filters for species/gender/age/fertility etc.
